Human brain scientists say that our mind is split in two parts: one conscious mind which is the rational part and another subconscious mind which we are not aware of. Our brain is like an iceberg: 10% rational mind which we perceive and 90% subconscious mind which is hidden dip inside us.

The 10% are responsible with our external image (our identity, ego) and with our relationship with the material life and the 90% is our spirit which is part of universal spirit and determines our material presence and the circumstances we are living in.

The things are much more complex than that and if you want more clarification you could find on Internet plenty materials. What is important to say now is that when we are focusing only on the real life we are living in (on our ego) we lose the most important meaning of our lives.

Materialists, who had a word to say hundred years ago, believe in the rational part. They believe only in what they perceive with their five senses. They say what you cannot perceive doesn’t exist.

In the last decades, the appearance of quantum physics discoveries shook the materialist theory about life and world. Quantum physicians say matter is energy, energy in move, matter is only a result and our true life is hidden behind the matter.

At present, the part our subconscious brain is playing in our lives becomes clearer. There are still many things science has still to explain, but, anyhow, we now know that our material life is determined and influenced by our thoughts and intentions (energy in motion) coming from our subconscious mind.

In spite of the fast spreading of all these new findings about life, there are a lot of people still living only focused on their material life. They struggle, assume their fate as a given, see themselves as victims without hope. If you try to tell them the life is not like this, they don’t even want to listen. They are so much used with this pattern of thought that they consider insane anyone thinking different. They consider they are alone against a wild and chaotic world and in front of an implacable fate and don’t even think that life can be something else then struggle and resignation. How many times we heard in our childhood: ‘Life is difficult, it is not as easy as you may imagine!’ (I heard it many times!)…

However, a small part of these people is happy. Without knowing, they succeeded by hazard to get aligned with their spirit’s vibration and they live a good life. They consider they were lucky. And probabely they were, at least for the moment. Others, the majority, are living a miserable life killing in time all their dreams and being certain that there is nothing they can do. They think the reason for this bad life is outside them: the fate, their parents, their wife/husband, the bosses, their friends, even their children. They were unlucky and that’s it!

Education and media sustain their theory. Education keeps traditional teachings while media consider it is not meant to educate people, it has only to entertain them with the same old stories told today in a modern ‘package’. They strengthen the same mentality of victim providing violent movies and news full of catastrophic events.

Today personal development is mach more than developing skills and attitudes to improve our ego; it must comprise all the aspects of life, including spiritual part. That’s why I prefer to speak rather about self evolution than about personal development. We are not alone, we are part of the whole, universal spirit and each of us comes here, on the Earth, to evolve by creation.

When we realize that, new perspectives open in front of us and our life changes radically.
