Peace of mind, when attained, is one of the most enjoyable states that you can experience. When your brain is in turmoil and thoughts are smashing around in your head, you could just about lose your mind. Getting peace also means that you regain control and a sense of order in your head space.
In this physical world we have been conditioned to think that all of the things swirling around us are so much more important than how our brain is functioning and if we are able to think clearly. But our mind is where we are at. It is the set of glasses we use to perceive the world.
Without consciousness, there is no proof that the outside world even exists. The state of mind with which we view the events and situations of our lives colors our feelings and reactions. Our clarity and peace of mind, therefore, is about the most important thing there is.
Have you ever had someone completely take something you said or did the wrong way? Why did they not understand your true intention? Because they were in a state of mind that shifted their perception to something that it really wasn't.
The best way to approach life in a lot of situations is in a clear, conscious, almost valueless field so that you can understand exactly what is happening. Without any preconceived notions on what is happening you can evaluate what is truly important and what doesn't deserve your attention.
Just as modern physicists are finding that their expectations on the results of an experiment can actually affect the result, when you approach something with a certain attitude you can change the situation. If you approach it with a bad attitude, you could actually turn the happening into something disadvantageous.
Gaining peace of mind can actually make your life easier. You will most likely discover that your life is whole lot more awesome than you thought it was. If your brain is in turmoil, it searches for turmoil in it's surroundings. When your mind is at peace, you automatically search out peaceful things that refresh you and bring you more peace.
With peace of mind you enjoy your life more, others enjoy being around you more, and you are able to accomplish more. You become more efficient because you seek out things that meet your objectives and your able to think of things in a much more global view. So peace of mind can make you more popular and better at your work.
With all of these advantages, seeking peace is the kindest thing that you can do for yourself and for those that matter to you. Seek peace and find joy.
