Handling the iPad is not rocket science for us nor does it come close to even in a tech age where a small child using a cellphone doesn't turn heads anymore just shows how we are adapting to the times. Apples beloved little iPad whether you have iPad 1,2, or 3 all have the same configuration layout like any other Apple electronic device in the past (iPod,iPhone, etc.) having minor improvements.
Lets face it Apple knows they have us hooked on their tech to the point where they can slap their infamous apple logo on a cardboard box announcing their latest model is here and I guarantee you a mile long line of people (me included lol) will be there. To us as proud iPad owners we can expect to come across glitches or in this case moments when your iPad freezes due to iPad running at a sluggish process or most likely one of your apps (Netflix does this for me all the time) is the culprit.
So to help answer our question "How to Reset iPad" listed below is a quick sure way at a solution and works for any iPad you own.
SOLUTION
- While Holding Your iPad in front of you either in portrait mode or landscape mode (your choice), select the "home" button at the front bottom center of your iPad.
- Next find the "lock/sleep" button at the upper right hand corner of the iPad, Now at the same time hold both buttons for 8-10 seconds release both buttons for the screen to blacken with the apple logo popping up ignore the slide to power off bar it is not needed for the reset.
- With the iPad turned off, reboot the iPad by holding the "lock/sleep" for 3-5 seconds allow 25-40 seconds for the iPad to be up and ready.
- These simple steps reboot the iPad system to working order to solve the frozen occurrence at the time, if you want to take it a step further by resetting the iPad settings entirely then simply continue on by selecting the settings icon present on your iPad.Click on the "Settings" tab, notice at the left hand side a tab called "General" navigate your way to the bottom of your main screen to notice the "Reset", now lastly choose "Reset all Settings" which should allow your iPad Settings to reset without altering the data files in the process.
