If you got a new Kindle Fire HD you may well be wondering what to do with your old model Kindle Fire.
It could end up gathering dust in a cupboard or desk drawer - never to be seen again! You might be considering selling it, but you'd probably lose a lot of money on the deal. It would be better if you could put it to good use and get more value out of it. But what can you do with something you have replaced for a better and faster version? You certainly don't need both devices, do you?
Something you could do is to give it to your kids! That old Kindle Fire could have a new life as a kids electronic toy. Very entertaining as well being educational too.
But would it stand up to all that rough handling?
Letting your kids loose on a Kindle Fire might seem like a recipe for disaster as kids tend to be pretty hard on their toys. And how long would a Kindle stand up to such demanding use? You wouldn't like to see it wrecked - even if it was 'last year's model', would you?
A shame really, as, with the right software installed, it would make an brilliant kids toy. But how can you stop it getting wrecked?
Simply Kiddy-Proof it!
Wrap it up in a protective, Child-Proof case and load it up with Disney Movies, kids games and their favorite MP3s and it would make a great electronic toy for any child. Regular covers and cases tend to be either decorative or functional, or both, but will only provide a degree of protection though. Some heavy-duty covers, while providing enormous amounts of protection, tend to look a little utilitarian and not at all appealing to kids!
But there are covers made especially for the Kindle Fire that are perfect for kids! They provide an enormous amount of protection making the Kindle Fire almost completely child proof. Even the colors are great for youngsters and do look suitably toy-like!
Pink for a girl and Blue for a boy, although not always!
The pink one which is ideal for a daughter, for example, who can then be given Mom or Dad's Kindle Fire to play her MP3s, watch Movies, play games and whatever else she might like to use it for. The cushioned cover is easy to hold too with the 'over-sized' soft grips around the edge!
A blue cover might be just right if you are giving your old Kindle Fire to your son. Boys can be very demanding on their toys and without some heavy-duty protection around it the Fire tablet could soon be looking a bit worse for wear. Blue really does look the part and would be appealing to any young gentleman.
Whichever color is more apt, a child-proof Kindle Fire case will keep the Fire tablet safe from harm and protect it from all those knocks, scrapes and bangs it can easily receive. With one of these new covers fitted the tablet is easy to hold in even the smallest of hands.
Along with suitable content from Kindle FreeTime Unlimited it would turn that old, discarded Kindle Fire into a great educational toy and would also keep the kids amused for hours... and hours!
So, no need to get rid of that old Kindle Fire. Just put it in a child-proof case and give it to the kids!
