The Monster In the Room: Television

The Sony BDP-S590 Blu-Ray disk player with Wifi saves the day.

As the economy slowly goes to hell and all the plights of the world are thrust upon in the evening News, Our own personal financial situation creeps into our thoughts as we turn off the lights and warm up next to the fireplace cuddled up under a blanket.

Our satellite has become the elephant in the room.

We know that we should be getting rid of the Satellite package that we have with our service provider but we are addicts faithfully watching all our favorite shows as we get our weekly fix.

Stream your favorite shows from PC to TV.

We have tossed the idea around about streaming our favorite shows through a service like Hulu-Plus or others, but that also requires a small investment. As our Television bill goes up by several dollars every month, streaming is becoming a more likely option every month.

Sony BDP-S590 Blu-Ray disk player with WiFI

Welcome to the Sony BDP-S590 Blu-Ray disk player with WiFI. The Sony S590 is an inexpensive Blu Ray disk player that works well. The really cool part of this player is it's price weighing in at under a hundred bucks. That is almost what we are paying monthly for Satellite service at the moment.

Another neat feature of the Sony BDP-S590 is the Wifi allowing you to stream your favorite shows from the internet. Since most homes already have a high speed internet connection already, the Sony BDP S590 with WiFI can stream from online services.

Share your favorite shows with your friends.

One of my favorite features listed is being able to leave comments on the shows you have watched on different Social Networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google++. You can recommend shows to your friends as well.

Great reviews

The Sony BDP-S590 also get fairly good reviews for a Blu-Ray disk player under 100 bucks. Some of the main complaints that I have seen is the tray can be a little slow to pop out, but that's fine with me, being new to this sort of technology. I am mainly interested in the streaming features for online entertainment. I don't even own a single blu-ray disk at this point so it will probably not get used.

If you want an inexpensive way to get into video streaming from the internet to your Television set without a major investment then the Sony BDP-S590 sounds like a good choice. It gets good ratings over at Amazon and it is still under 100 bucks at this point.

You better get yours fast before the price goes up.
