The new iPad from Apple brought the tablet world to a whole new level when it comes to tablets with the Retina display at 2048-by-1536-pixel resolution creates a visual experience never before seen on a tablet, the first tablet to experience 4G service creating a faster mobile experience, and the iOS off the new iPad just compliments the Next Generation appeal with more social, more entertainment, and more of what you love.
So how does Google's new tablet the Nexus 7 compare with Apples new iPad?
Resolution
Google's Nexus 7 comes in a 1280x800 pixel resolution matches the iPad (2nd Generation) more-then the new iPad(3rd Generation) 2048-by-1536-pixel resolution so Apple wins this contest of who has a visually more appealing screen.
Weight Capacity
Apple's iPad (3rd Generation) has a weight of about 1.4 pounds while the Google Nexus 7 is just a fraction the weight at 340 g just 3/4 of a pound seems lighter so give Google this one.
Connectivity
The iPad's 4G service has gone unchallenged by the Google Nexus 7 sticking to 3G and Wi-Fi with the new iPad to far gone to compete in connectivity with LTE included just creates that greater gap between Apple and Google.
Works with Apps
Everyone that's ever worked with a iPad before know how deeply centered the apps are integrated to iOS of the iPad literally No Apps, No iPad so the Google Nexus 7 so rather then following Apple's iPad with how they handle the apps, Google merely sees apps as an option focusing on something similar to kindles content download feature with streaming from Google Play.
Processor Chip
Google Nexus 7 uses a 1.2GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor which performs admirably allowing faster browsing and applications on the 7-inch tablet while the new iPad Dual-core 1GHz A5X processor with quad-core graphics allows better multitasking and flawless high-res graphics performance I'll have to side with the iPad in terms of processing speed.
Now Google Nexus 7 has a price that is less then the new iPad with a Nexus at 16GB at $299 USD and the new iPad running you up to $499 USD and up. Now the Google Nexus 7 is no iPad but it is a breath of fresh air in the tablet market world to see other tablets to choose from. Now the tech consumer in me, I welcome the Google Nexus 7 as another forerunner in the race to the number one tablet seat Apple has but the tech user in me is quite satisfied with the more appealing iPad contrary to the Google Nexus 7, hope this illuminates the different features these two tablets bring to the table.
