Precautions while doing online shopping
Watch out the website. Give your information only to secure websites. How will you differentiate between a secure and insecure website? Check the URL address box. The address in this space should start with ‘https’ instead of ‘http’. The ‘s’ in ‘https’ means it’s a secure server. The site has an authenticity certificate at a central registry . While making payment, use the services of a major credit card. Doing so will help you to do a charge back if your product doesn’t arrive; or something has gone wrong with your purchase wherein you’ve not got your goods. The credit card company will take the money back from the merchants account, and give it back to you. But don’t misuse this right, as credit card companies keep a tab of such activities. If the customer uses it often, the credit card company could refuse this facility in future.
