Waterproof Case For Kindle - Should You Buy One?

You have just purchased your first E-reader and are thrilled! You can not wait to go on your holiday to sit, read, and relax. You will have room to pack more clothes (or shoes....he-he) into your luggage now that you do not have the weight or bulk of books. At least that is how I felt after purchasing my Kindle.

My holiday would be perfect! Well, I thought wrong.

You can always count on the unexpected when vacationing around other people. There I was, sitting by the pool, minding my own business, when all of a sudden some children rush past me and "cannon ball" into the pool. I jumped off my lounge chair with a shriek when the cold water hit me. I had started to laugh, at myself as well as the kids, until I looked down on my lounge chair. Needless to say, we were not the only ones to get wet. Alas, so was my kindle.

After drying off myself and my kindle, I decided to move onto the beach for more peace and quiet. Well, that is what I had hoped anyway.... You see, not everyone on a beach wants to sit and relax like me. There are those who love to run and play....Frisbee, to be exact. Do you know what happens when someone runs past you in the sand? Especially if it is a little windy? Yup, you got it. Flying sand...everywhere! And I've had experience with sand getting into electronics. It is not pretty. It will ruin it. Every time. So now, every time someone came near me, I quickly covered my Kindle with my towel, interrupting that exciting thriller mystery I was reading. Nothing else quite kills the flow of a book than that.

So the question is how can I read anywhere, yet protect my investment. So began my research into waterproof cases for kindles. There had to be something out there that allowed me to participate in my favorite pastime without worry. With my laptop and a few clicks of the mouse, I found several waterproof cases for Kindle, from inexpensive envelopes to hard cases. There was a plethora to choose from!

I found the answer....a waterproof case for kindle. A protective case to ease my state of mind and protect my investment. And because I am protecting my Kindle, it should last me much long than...say, my camera, which fell in the sand and was ruined....
