Who doesn't like photography? It is an art to me. Pictures are everywhere! Internet, people's homes, wallets, desk at work, etc... Photography is a career for some people and other's just for fun. I have thought of making it one of my career's as well.
You can scan your pictures now and old videos and movies to make them digital or just to have copies for your friends and family. I love photography because every picture that is taken has a story behind that photo.
The question is, how to learn photography? Well you can be self taught and grow up to take pictures with a good camera, also go to school for it to further the how's and educate yourself to make it that career.
I think sometime or another everyone growing up has wanted to learn photography and carried that camera with them. It has gotten bigger than ever. People have so many pictures of themselves and lots of memories thanks to technology.
I have 3 bins full of photos of the last 22 years of my life with my children, ex husband, homes, cars, pets, prom's, and who know's what. My children keep asking me to go through them and make them album's so they have pictures of them to share with their friends. I keep putting that project off because I know there's so many photograph's to go through.
I don't want to give one child pictures and the other none. When I get copies made then it will be equal for all four children. Memories are behind each picture you take and that is what makes it that much more fun.
It is going to be fun but yet time consuming because three bins of pictures are a lot of pictures to go through. It is going to take some time sorting out. Does anyone want to help? Just kidding.
Well, I always been into photography, I was the one that carried that little camera around all the time and one day ask for that polaroid camera and would snap a picture every two minutes. I hated the polaroid though because once the picture came out that is it and when the film was gone that was it. The film was expensive so I didn't get that many refills.
As I got older I really wanted a nicer camera so I bought one and couldn't wait to get the pictures developed asap! Now days it is so easy to take a photograph and get them developed. You can crop your photographs, add people in your photo, and make them black and white. There is so much you can do with your pictures.
Photography can share many memories and can be described in a thousand words. When I look back at some of the pictures that were taken. It reminds you of your past and the good memories behind them that can be carried on and passed down generation to generation.
It also makes you realize how much time goes by quickly with those memories in that box. It makes me shed a tear every time I look through those photographs and it brings up conversation when we go through them.
Pictures are everywhere and that is what makes it fun. Without pictures what would we have? and what memories would be around? Next time you take that picture, think of why you took it and what story is behind it. Who know's maybe it will be on that wall of yours to start conversation over dinner.
My goal is to get a nice camera and take as many pictures as I can and that will be my art for my home, I don't need to buy the art in the stores because everyone has that same picture. I like to be different from everyone else.
Nice article Katie. Did you know there's a mini polaroid you can buy? I've got one and find that it's really fun to be able to take photos that people can hold in their hands right away. So many of us don't get our photos developed any more now that anything's digital. Anyway, the camera is called a fujifilm instax mini 7 if you're interested. It's worked great for me so far.
What camera would you wish for? Your pic is of a Canon and that is my choice too. I have a 30D plus lenses. 17-85 and 70-200 f4L. My wife and I love to record our time through photos, though it can become obsessive. My thing is landscapes. Set up camera, wait for the light, sit back and enjoy the scenery as the sun sets/rises. If you are on Pinterest then I have posted some of me favourites there.
Yes Roger, this is one of my favorite cameras. I bought one for my son and my daughter because they are into photography. It is fun and yes I hope to have my own sooner than later. I am on Pinterest so I will check it out ok...
