Real estate business relies a lot in a good house photos. This is because clients usually see what the house looks like first in the image before planning to buy the house. Therefore as a real estate photographer, you must be able to capture those houses well to be able to show their glory in the photograph.
It is then necessary to learn some real estate photography tips in order to how to catch the attention of those customers:
Real Estate Photography Tips point 1 - More Lighting
When you are photographing outdoors, it's good to do so when the sun is bright and the sky is blue. Clients wanted to see the house and the place as clear as possible so do not attempt to shoot artistic shots at night. Shoot during daylight and show the buyers what they wanted to see.
For indoors, turn on all the lights and use your flash. Again, you wanted to capture things as clear as possible so let the light show what the house has to offer.
Real Estate Photography Tips point 2 - Shoot From Many Angles
Buyers wanted to see how the house looks like in different perspective so go on, shoot from the front, the right and left side, above and below. Try your best also to vary your shots from close up to medium shot to wide shot. This gives a three dimensional look of the house for the clients.
Real Estate Photography Tips point 3 - Include Everything
It might be that the house has a nice garden in front of it. This can attract the buyers so include those things. Just get all things that you think is attractive like swimming pool, nice sala set, gym, nice view from the terrace, and what not. Customers have more chance or buying if they see those beautiful things around and inside the house.
Real Estate Photography Tips point 4 - Let the Photos Show the Real subject - The House and Lot
In doing this, remove all things that may distract the view of the subject. Remove unnecessary objects that block the view like trash cans, wires, parked car, etc. Get a clean shot and let the eye of the buyers see the house and lot clearly.
Real Estate Photography Tips point 5 - Edit Your Shots
Of course you must do your best to get good photos and do not rely on the post production. There are times however that you still need to edit some of your photos. The editing however must be just a fixing of imperfections and leave the photos look natural. I mean they must not show that they are edited. Clients do not like to see fake colors of the house in the first place.
As you can see, real estate photography is like shooting a model. You model however is a static house and lot so you must be the one to adjust yourself because you cannot tell the house to pose the way you like. All you have to do is capture the photos that will attract the clients to buy that house.
