The Canon 60d is a great camera for the price. I’ll tell you why, and give you the Canon 60d price in a second with a price compression.
But first did you know that you can buy a DSLR camera for the price of a university education? You could become a doctor for the price of the H4D-60 Hasselblad. This camera is estimated at about $43,000. Do you get a full frame sensor for this price? I don’t think so. It is a medium format sensor, but at an incredible, and what would seem impossible, 60 megapixel! Indeed, $43,000 is a huge difference when comparing the Canon 60d price.
The Hasselblad also comes with the new True Focus technology, and the new Phocus 2.0 imaging software, which means the H4D-60 is in a technology class of its own.
This new technology makes the photographic process more streamlined and less cumbersome for the user.
Honestly, technology is great, but since the camera Obscura, where a pinhole was poked through a box in order to project an image on a wall, etc, has this basic principle, the basis of photography, changed? Not really, but a lot the cameras of today boast around the cool technology, and have the wish to make photography about the camera, and way less about the end result you get. For the Canon 60d price, the end result is amazing!
My point: to get a great end result you do not need to break the bank. Most of my best work has been done in camera, using the basics of photographic knowledge, and not relying on a fancy pants camera, or super software. You can get a great shot with any camera, it depends on the photographer, and a lot of it is about the lens you use. I go into more detail about lenses with my Canon 60d review.
You could put a shitty plastic kit lens on the Hasselblad and the 60 megapixel will suddenly look like a crappy Polaroid. In fact, in some cases you probably would not want to use anything you shot with a crappy lens on a big sensor because the big sensor will greatly accentuate the defects of the bad glass.
Regardless of how good the camera is, it is still possible to take a terrible shot.
My tip: get a good lens to make your sensor sing. For the Canon 60d price you can afford it! I use prime lenses on my 60d, and I bet you could not tell the difference in the image quality when you put the images of high-end DSLRS beside the Canon 60d. Maybe some pros could see it, but regular people would not.
You will find the Canon 60d price below. The price difference ( prices may very after the writing of this article):
The most expensive Canon you can buy is the Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III (body only) $6,999 great camera, but when you add a lens to it, the price goes up dramaticlly.
The full frame 5d is a nice: $2,269.95, great camera for the price.
The APS-C sensor 7d camera is: $1,442.95, another great deal.
The Canon 60d price, with APS-C sensor size, is an amazing: $999.95! This is the best deal out there in my opinion, because now you have money left for a good lens.
The APS-C sensor is very similar to Super 35mm film movie frame size, so depth of field characteristics are similar. There is very little difference between full frame and the APS-C sensor in terms of image quality, and a lot of people shoot with both, and the integration is seamless.
The 7d is about 500 dollars more, but the 60d shares the same sensor, and ergonomics, plus the 60d has a flip out LCD monitor which makes shooting video a breeze. The Canon 60d price is the best.
hmmm...I may have to go camera shopping now! Thanks for the great info.
