Treatment For Common Foot Injuries

Let’s face it. We don’t usually pay attention to our feet unless we feel that something is not right with them. Our feet are the base of the pillars that allow us to stand and yet we fail to recognise that they are as important as any other parts of our body. Without them in mint condition, we wouldn’t be able to function properly. Callus and Corns

Foot Sprain

Foot sprains are caused by the wear-and-tear of ligaments and are felt on the middle part of the foot. This usually occurs to people who engage in sports activities such as but not limited to basketball, football, and running. A sprain can cause the foot to swell, bruise, and feel pain whenever the person puts weight on the foot. To provide relief for the sprained foot, take a break from the activity which caused the sprain, put the foot up to avoid swelling, take medicine if the pain is unbearable, and put ice for a few minutes. Ingrown Toenails

Ingrown toenails are the ones that grow into the flesh which causes pain and redness on the swollen part of the toe’s skin. Ingrown toenails have to be trimmed properly and tight-fitting shoes should be avoided at all times.
