A Principle to Discern the Ratio Of Political Success V Restrictionist Success

There are many people who work from the premise that Politics and Politicians are so corrupt that it is not worth bothering about either of them. I believe that this perception of them being corrupt is not quite accurate. I posit that it is not Politics and Politicians that are corrupt, it is merely that Politics and Politicians are being confused with parties and people who corrupt Politics and Politicians for their own interests.

We might call these people Restrictionists, because of the desire they have to restrict Politics and Politicians doing what it is that is probably the ideal thing for Politics and Politicians to be doing; namely, securing the unconditional provision of physical, mental and essential resources such as water, food, shelter, education and spiritual pursuit.

If Politics and Politicians are concerned with the securing of the unconditional provision of physical, mental and spiritual resources, then we would expect to see that where there are Politics and Politicians at work, then thirst, hunger, exposure, ignorance and spirituality is immediately provided for. Any delay in receiving such resources would suggest that Restrictionism and Restrictionists are at large.

One look at the daily mass media will provide enough evidence to show that the immediate provision of resources is not always occurring; therefore it is plausible to suggest that, Restrictionism and Restrictionists are afoot.

Some will argue that immediate provision of resources is not always possible and I would agree; especially in cases of natural rather than man-made disasters. However this does mean that the speed with which provision of resources occurs cannot be used as a principle to discern the ratio of Political Success v Restrictionist success. We might note that:

Politics prevails where the unconditional provision of resources occurs with unavoidable delay; whilstRestrictionism prevails where the unconditional provision of resources occurs with avoidable delay.

In other words; an avoidable delay in meeting basic needs probably means real Politics and Politicians are being mimicked by those who have a reason to restrict; usually those for whom some kind of profit is diminished by expedient needs-meeting.

It is these profiteers whom I suggest are behind this premise that Politics and Politicians are so corrupt that it’s not worth bothering about them. I suspect that if we engage more with Politics and Politicians we might rethink our premise. Perhaps to this - Politics and Politicians are being so corrupted by profiteers that it is well worth bothering about them; and soon.
