ACN Path To Presidency Hinges On Top To Bottom Political Formulae

Political marginalization coupled with regional sentiments, tribalism and religious up-rising are the surface problems that appear as Nigerian’s major problems. But the silent up evil facing Nigeria from day one, has been lack of love for this country, especially, from the southern half of the nation. The problem has been with us since independence. While the middle belt constantly work for a united Nigeria, The northern leader’s sympathetic ears to religious extremism present a reason to believe that they do not love this country but only care about their Islamic religious interest.

Our fellow citizens from the south on the other hand have damaged Nigerian name internationally by engaging in criminal activities ranging from credit card fraud to drugs trafficking, to human trafficking abroad. Of my 28 years stay in the USA I have never heard or read about fellow Nigerians from the middle belt convicted of any of the above crimes. That is telling of our character and the way we feel about our country.

We in the middle belt are peace loving people and we have cohabitated with Christians and Muslims and love this country at best. The south lumps us with the north as Hausas. We are not Hausas! The north (Hausa/Fulani) expects us to jump when they say jump! But things have changed now, because if the middle belt does not start to stand up for her interest then we will face destruction by the forces of religious extremism from the far north. I believe the only political savior from domination and final destruction of the middle belt by forces from the north is ACN party.

The PDP for over 12 years has demonstrated in no single terms that they care for the progress of the middle belt. The party uses us when it fits its agenda and purpose. We have not been protected by the party in any way security wise what so ever, the plateau situation is spilling into other states in the region under the watchful eyes of the PDP governments both at the federal and state levels.

A systematic inequality in dispensing justice by the judicial system is evidence that, the third arm of government is just an extension of the PDP party. ACN now has an opportunity to deliver Nigeria from corrupt hands of the People’s Democratic Party in the next presidential elections. The youth of this country are prepared and ready to confront the old evils, in a possible lawful democratic manner to reclaim their nation. They are looking for directions from any political party that will work for their interest, now we can revamp the political structure of this country from “bottom up” because the formula of  “top to bottom” had not worked well for Nigeria ever since independence.

ACN most nominate an individual of intellectual orientation with undisputable integrity from the middle belt to contest for the office of the president of Nigeria in 2015, ACN is full of this caliber of people. PDP has never attracted them because elections within and outside the ruling party have never been conducted democratically.  Most people of decent character decided against running for public office in 1999 from PDP. The thinking then was that the present democratic dispensation would not last long, just like the others in the past. That’s when we saw the entrance of the mediocrity that we found in different offices throughout the country in the PDP, that we are having a hard time to clean up. These crops of politicians cannot with any sense of reason because of lack of integrity devoid of power of persuasion to win in a free and fair election. I say this with confidence and I stand by my statement and anybody that thinks that I am wrong can bet their money where their mouth is and challenge me that I am wrong! The case in point is “the Benue dilemma” The people of Benue state overwhelmingly voted for the Action Congress of Nigeria in the last elections and their mandate has been held hostage by the PDP.

We the people of Benue state must rescue this mandate from the hostage takers nor matter what it takes. The fight to re reclaim this mandate in Benue is a generational battle; it will require all hands on deck and all means necessary. Once we prevail in removing Governor Suswam from government house Makurdi; that will be the end of Benue’s dilemma. Benue must be free.

ACN must pursue a four tier presidential zoning formula: the East, West, Middle Belt And far North. The adoption of a four zoning formula shall guarantee for the middle belt to produce a president.
