Not sure if you all heard the latest news, but Groupon has just announced that they are not going to allow The Donald to post Apprentice site ads on Groupon after a slew of customer complaints, and for a better word, an uprising.
Who blames them....
Well, not Jerry Seinfield. He just told the HollywoodReporter that "I just can't be with him" when backing out of his son's chairty event...which apparently has angered Mr. Trump.
I believe this is going to be the first of the backlash that we see from Donald Trumps "birthing" escapades, his outrageous comments on foriegn policy, along with a heap of other spatter that takes place almost by the minute.
I look back and one of the first business books I ever read was a book by Donald Trump called "How to Get Rich". At the time, it had an appeal to me as it was in the very early stages of my entrepreneurship. The Donald became an instant sensation to me and in the business world, I honestly can say I looked up to him.
Over time however, he became more and more of a celebrity (an arrogant one at that). I mean, who really wants to watch another lame-o season of Celebrity apprentice? Who else thinks it is a bit comedic when trump "fires" more intelligent entrepreneurs than himself?
Take everything away and put Gene Simmons and Donald Trump in an apprentice like competition and watch good ol' long tongue Genie take the Trump down. It would happen.
I think this is a perfect opportunity for everyone to look in the mirror and really determine if what you are doing in life is having a positive impact on others. If every single person had a positive impact on another person each and every day, we would be living in a much happier and fruitful world.
Trump has more money than me, that is fine. What he is not, is better than you or I because he has money. One thing that is lacking and maybe it always has is his "logic". Anyone that aims to get ahead in a political stance or life for that matter through "lying", "slandering" and being mean spirited is only going to lose you fans, respect, and ultimately your "fame".
Welcome everyone, the newest socialite-I-will-do-anything for publicity, Mr. Donald Trump.
He has lost a loyal fan with his recent behavior and I will not support any of his future business by spending my hard earned, honest money on it.
Donald Trump wants to close the Internet Donald Trump, one of the leading Republican candidates for the White House, who spoke on Monday for a total ban entry of Muslims to the United States, also has an idea to fight the so-called. Islamic state. It is believed that one should "close" ... the Internet........
Like you I once admired Mr. Trump. However the more he opened his mouth the more you saw of the portrait of that man. I just love the way Jon Stewart nails him on the Daily Show. He just loves to bluster. Guess he just likes to hear himself talk.
Well said, It not the fact that their are few people out their Trump. What scares me is how many people that are out there like that. They do not all have to be rich either. I know many not so well off people who think the way Trump thinks. These are the people are always voting against their interests because they think people like Donald Trump are going to make them rich. I did not realize how old this article was. It is what 6 months later and Donald Trump is still talking out his @ass on the birth-er crap. The guy is joke.
A total joke. I actually used to respect trump until I grew up and learned how ridiculous and pompous he really is. The way he has created his success is through ruthlessness, greed and unethical behaviour. On top of that the guy is a bigot...you can probably see that I don't carry a lot of respect for Mr. Trump and his fractured empire any longer. He is a nut job.
Too true... Wealth is a responsibility and too much wealth exhibits a shirking of that responsibility. Most so called poor people I know are only poor because they regularly give outside their means. You've inspired me to write an article on this with a few of my own thoughts; the implications really hit a heart cord for me, and I sincerely hope, many more people. After all, we are in this together, polka-dotted, lime-green, bald (like me!) or otherwise. We are all just earth-dwellers and a little love goes a long way...
Yeah, he is inside his own little bubble and truly doesn't understand people on the street...the only time he goes to the street is to get into his limo. You can fault him for being successful, but you can fault a personality and a voice that often times gets him into trouble because of some of the ridiculous things he says. We you have voice and a reach, you better be able to back up and quantify what you are saying!
I just submitted my article a bit ago under the title "Value vs. Worth". I think I might have gone a little overboard, but like I said I really care about the macro-topics of elitism and poverty. Why is it that the elite are taught to not care about others and the poor are taught to care so much they get ulcers over unpaid $40 bills to companies owned by the elite? Kinda ironic, eh? If you get a chance would you take a look at my article and let me know what you think? I just started writing again after a decade without pen to paper and I'm rusty...
I would necessarily say the rich don't care about the poor and the poor simply give to the rich. Many people that are rich, or successful, work very hard to achieve their success. They do what the other 99% would never be willing to do, in fact, a good deal of the people that reach success are a result of that. I do hear you that there are many exceptions out there of rich people who are defined by their money and define the poor or people with not as much as them as their "lessers", but that is because these people are missing some of the nuts and bolts. There are great people demographic and there are not so great people within every demographic. I think this is much less of a rich vs poor thing than you may think, but I can understand your reasons for being pissed as I think a lot of the "elite" out there are pathetic.
Yeah, just a little. I am not saying he hasn't accomplished a lot, but his ego and success doesn't give him the right to brag. They say if you don't understand what defines you before you have money, money will define you once you get there. I think this is the case, he never really had a personal identity outside of money.
Nice article Kyle, and i agree with what you are saying, Message being the world would be a nicer place if we all took some time out of our lives and helped somebody in a less fortunate position than ourselves, its a noble cause. But politice Kyle is a dirty game, one that decent people stay away from, because once your in there , people left , right , and centre of you will digg up things about you, that even you didnt know existed, those who enter that realm must either be ready to slaughter or get slaughtered, and i think that Donald is basically getting in practice for his big shot at taking the top dog position.
Yeah, many people do stay away from politics for decency and moral issues. If there were less financial incentives to do good for business versus people, and more financial incentive to do a good job for the people, I believe politics would attract a whole different crowd. There is no incentive to "do good" other than re-election once in office.
Great post! I wonder if this is a part of Mr. Trump's master plan to gain more exposure for his campaign for the U.S. Presidency? Or will he just buy out everyone else? No suggestions of corruption here, just saying Ross Perot was the last billionaire to try for President, but the difference is Trump's public identity....he could actually win!!
I don't think he could win...he is full of far too many lies. I get millions of hits to my website...that being a very strange one. It doesn't take a genius to look up his sites online and realize he gets very little traffic nor does he have a very strong online presence. It will be interesting if he runs...will make the election far more like a reality show than an actual presidential race, maybe something that he would want to happen. He does understand in detail the business of getting reality ratings!
@ Lee, I agree this is stemmed from a media issue... giving time to such ridiculous efforts by people to be in media. It seems that these days the more absurd or crazy you behave, the more media power you possess. As I said, I used to admire some things about Donald Trump, but maybe this was just me being naive and new to the world of business. I have come to understand that he is no more than a bigot that is good at going to bankruptcy court.
Hey Kyle, for me I am in disagreement as far as the "Donald" goes. Honestly I can care less about his politics but what I do like is his shoot from the hip commentary. I appreciate the fact that Obama had to release his birth certificate. This whole thing kinda makes me laugh because the leader of the free world actually took time out of his "busy" schedule to address the issue. Donald is just having fun and speaking his mind. More power to him. The media is at fault for all this anyways. There the ones who spend all the time covering Charlie, Lindsay, The royal wedding and Donald when there is wars going on and natural disasters happening. Oh well, it is was it is. Celebrity gossip is all the rage. Thanks for the article though.
