Most of the time a professional will avoid suggesting a low 1000-calorie diet menu plan, as it is unable to meet the nutritional demands of most healthy bodies. Only those people for whom obesity has become life threatening are advised (and supervised) under this kind of low calorie diet plan. Under no circumstances, you should start with this diet plan on your own. In order to maintain the proper nutrition to the body while following the low-calorie diet, you should follow the proportions recommended by diet and weight loss experts. You will need to increase your water intake in order to keep your body very well hydrated.

  • For Breakfast – Oatmeal is the best thing to have at breakfast, as it is low in calories and fats but also keeps you full. You can add brown sugar and skim milk to make it tastier. Together it will come around 336 calories.
  • For Snacks – Banana is the best fruit to have for snacks, as it has only approximately 90 calories. You can also have dry roasted almonds along with it, which will be another 49 calories but provide you with some good fats. Hence, overall your snack will add up to around 139 calories.
  • For Lunch – You can have any can of soup, which provides not more than 100 calories. You can prepare salads using fresh vegetables, salad dressing, vinegar and olive oil. Your lunch adds up to about 174 calories, if you eat the things mentioned here.
  • For Dinner – You can prepare one-cup wheat pasta, which contains around 174 calories. You can add vegetables to it, which will add about 10 more calories, but the total calories can vary depending on which foods you choose. You can add marinara sauce to it. Together your dinner will come to around 339 calories total.
  • Extra - After eating all the above things, you still can eat something more, which will give you remaining 70 calories out of the total 1000-calorie diet menu. For example you can have carrots and hummus for evening snacks or even a light beer. If you want to try something sweet to act like a dessert then you can have the fat free yogurt for an evening snack.

I will not buy the idea of going on a 1000 calorie diet menu.Why going through the process when you only have to do it short term. And you can even combine such diet plan with exercises because of inadequate intake of calorie. It is better to go the steady and gradual way of losing weight.
