Green Coffee: What is it And What is the Deal, Exactly?

If you are like any of the other millions of people in the United States and around the world, you are trying to lose some weight. And, like all of the others, you have tried at least ten popular diet plans and have probably failed at all of them. The billion dollar dieting industry is counting on you trying at least one or two more diets before totally throwing in the towel, but they may not really be interested in you trying the latest thing on the market. It sounds strange, but green coffee is already being called a breakthrough and a marvel and if it delivers on even some of its amazing claims, the ordinary person may just declare it to be magical.

Sold in supplement form for weight loss, green coffee beans are harvested and then left raw before being processed into the pills and capsules. But, studies have shown that the green coffee has so many different health benefits that it has been referred to as a super food by more than one expert. The three most important of these benefits are: blocking carbohydrates, fighting hunger and speeding fat burning ability. Together those three things can make weight loss faster and easier than ever thought possible. There is another possible benefit of green coffee, however, one that could make it even more valuable from a health standpoint.

According to a number of scientists, chlorogenic acid in green coffee beans could potentially slow or even stop the rise of blood sugar after eating which is the key to preventing or reversing Type 2 diabetes. One study found that this acid made blood sugar drop by more than twenty percent even after meals and a second study showed that chlorgenic acid reduced fasting blood sugar in established diabetics by nearly fifteen percent.

Studies have established that the green coffee extract may help with nearly effortless weight loss, allowing the study subjects to lose almost twenty pounds in just over twenty weeks without any adverse problems noted. In addition, because it is not a chemical based drug, there are no side effects for most people and the green coffee also has antioxidants which are beneficial to heart and general health.

The study split subjects into groups that changed diet and exercise habits as well as those who did not make any changes at all. One subject was eating a reported 2400 calories each day and still lost weight with the green coffee extracts.
