Hello readers! I'm from Better Version of Me Daily which is a growing online community for self-development!
The site has these great “Daily Ritual” posts that can really help change your life for the better!
Here is a Daily Ritual you should adopt into your life:
Upon arising in the morning, try to remember to immediately give thanks for three things in your life. Rather than checking your social media, email or mindlessly accomplishing your morning routine, try to first think about three things (could be anything) that you are truly grateful for. For example sake here are some things I’m grateful for:
- Waking up to experience another day of this wonderful world!
- I have an awesome family.
- I have great friends.
- I have shelter.
- I have clothes.
- I have clean water.
- I have a refrigerator full of food!
- I have my health.
- I get to drink clean water first thing in the morning without getting out of bed!
- I can write!
That was a quick list of ten that first come to my mind. Remember be grateful for a minimum of just three things. You can make a list of 50 every morning if you like. In fact, the more you really soak in those feelings of gratitude for what you do have the better you will feel. I've been using this habit as a daily ritual in my life and have seen outstanding results. I have also implemented many other daily rituals to kick start my mind but this is one of the easiest and most beneficial. Personally, before this ritual my mornings were very inconsistent. I used to wake up, roll over, go back to sleep and continue this pattern for hours. Now with this new daily ritual habit installed into my mind I’m able to consciously remember that I’m awake. Now when I wake up I remember to put a smile on, open my window, and start to give thanks for any thing that comes to mind.
I encourage you to try it out for yourself!
Set an alarm right now with a reminder to say 3 things that you are grateful for because you will most likely forget!
The bottom line is:
There is a reason all these self-help books keep regurgitating the gratefulness aspect to maintaining a positive mind! It primes your mind for the rest of your day! Positive people attract positive people and we have the choice! Take control of your subconscious and raise your vibration to one of gratitude!
Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
~Mike
