Was a little bothered by an incident that happened, but like one of those few instances where I knew I might end up feeling like a dirty whore, I took a few steps backwards.
Yeah, Life teaches us things we don't know of previously. Experience matures us and grooms us into fine ladies and gentlemen.
But some things do change while others, they just stubbornly stay the way they are.
Communication is a big factor to making relationships work. Miscommunication is an even bigger word that kills connections.
Over time, I evolved myself into a person who priorities. I used to fill my hands full of issues and problems. I try hard to solve them, even when these situations are not my own to begin with. Then, I realize that we can't please everybody. There will always be people who love to see you fail in Life, and surprisingly, quite a number of them are those who you don't even know.
I would like to quote a wise man who told me,"For every trusted friend you gain, you make ten more enemies for yourself."
I can't deny that I was a little affected but heck, Life's too short for revenge. Playing God and making baseless assumptions is not my forte. I'll just leave it to the professionals to dictate whatever fantasies they would like to think of. Good intentions do not necessarily beget kind results. I should have known better.
Real friends are hard to come by, especially at times like these. They are, indeed, treasures that are rarely appreciated. Learnt my lesson too well. I think it is time to update my friends list.
I'm positively looking at the brighter side to such a setback. Although I was engulfed with a tinge of sadness, I can't let myself be affected too much. Being whiny is never my trait since eons ago. Those who know me well, they understand that I'm one who is honestly blunt. Neither an in-built hypocrite, nor I desire to become one. I'm learning and striving to be a better person each day. We can't stop people from judging us, unfortunately. But the best advice is to live with it. It doesn't matter if you're being wronged.
At the end of the day, the one who forgives will eventually be sheltered under God's Love.
