Sometimes life rears its ugly head and the results are not what we were anticipating for sure. After taking a ride this morning, I discovered on my return a surprise in my office. My darling little lab Sweet-pea somehow got into the room and wreaked havoc on my computer. As you can see by the picture it is no longer much use to me. Now more than ever I am using all of my positive thinking techniques.
What happened!
Near as I can figure, the cat and the dog had a little chasing match and the dog won, and the cat survived, but my new Acer lost the battle. I took a leap of faith and bought this when I joined Wealthy Affiliate to make sure I could keep up with the modern technology that goes with internet marketing. Boy did I get a reality check this morning.
What I have learned from this?
- Do not blame others for your mistakes, they make enough of their own, they do not need this.
- Do not blame the dog, she can not open doors. ( I don't think anyway) :P
- Do not blame the cat, she is just running for her life.
- Do not blame the wife or you will be running for your life.
- Own your mistake and deal with it like a man.
- Ask for help, you will need others for support.
Where do I go from here?
Well, when all else fails, the library is across then street and the laptop still works. My friends at WA stepped up and helped me find a cure for this mess. With the purchase of an adapter cable I can hook up my spare Dell monitor to my Aser and I will be back in business, in about 3 to 5 business days. Until then I look at it like this, positive and negative thinking will make or break me. This will be up to me. Maybe this is a sign to take a break, look around at where I am at, and find the soft spots and fix them.I truley believe when one door closes another opens, even when we are not knocking on it.What perfect time to hit the books and finish some of that training I have put on the back burner.
How about the Dog?
I love my little girl with all my heart, and when I found her hiding under my desk I felt more badly for her than I did for the computer. I can always replace that, but finding another girl like her would be a challenge.
You can come out now girl, all is well.

Sweet;) You're right, positive and negative thinking will make or break us. 'Tis up to us which we choose. Nice article.
I've had the same luck this week. I bought a new dishwasher this week. I installed it and found out it will not drain after the wash and rinse. Called the manufacturer and they have to send someone to repair it.
Hire Volusion Developer This is the best article..thank you so much for sharing..
My mom always said: "no use crying over spilled milk." I guess this is one of those instances... Great Article!
"Don''t blame the wife or you will be running for your life." That line made me laugh out loud. Very good article and I agree with you wholeheartedly. I'd just like to add one thing. Positive thinking to me is being thankful for what you have and focus on that instead of focusing on what you don't have. Thanks for sharing, Shawn. This article made my day!
Some things are just not worth the worry, blaming someone does not help the broken computrer screen and punishment for such things will come back to bite you in the butt, no real harm, except for the cat (being the one chased :).....make life easy wipe the milk up and pour another glass....good read Shawn...
