With all the medical advances in recent years more couples are able to be helped to conceive or treat infertility with a range of interventions. The Medical treatments for infertility and for diagnosing reproductive problems are invasive, expensive and time consuming.

Many people face a barrage of blood tests, shots, surgery and then procedures to aid conception. If possible most couples would choose to avoid this and yet they simply do not realize there are natural options to try first. So can Natural Fertility treatments actually result in pregnancy? So what are they and are they for you?

Weight issues and Diet.

As hard as it is to face the fact is being morbidly overweight or obese can severely compromise your fertility. Experts are now associating obesity as a potential cause of infertility. If you are over weight and having issues conceiving you can make natural fertility improvements by taking up frequent exercise and improving your diet to a healthy one.

A Harvard study recently discovered 79% of couples suffering infertility had a deficiency in foods rich in antioxidants, namely fruit and vegetables. Other studies have proved that Sperm counts can be improved by up to 140% by taking a daily dose of vitamin C 1 000 mg, It helps sperm that are clumped together to swim. Iron and vitamin deficiency can also be detrimental to fertility. Also Selenium and Vitamin E help Sperm mobility, essential for reaching the Egg.

Stress Management

Your body can be affected by stress in many ways, one side effect is to deplete your stores of minerals, vitamins, Oxygen and other essentials for a healthy reproductive system. This is not to say it is the main factor in preventing conception but it can play a contributing factor. Learning to reduce stress can really help with improving your health and fertility.

Giving up Smoking

As well as being extremely harmful to your body and health, smoking can seriously interfere with your reproductive organs. Nicotine and other toxins from cigarettes pass through the blood and invade every cell in your body including organs required for reproduction. Simply put there is no better boost to fertility for a couple who smoke than to stop. Smoking can kill a man's sperm and can cause problems such as malformation. For the female smoking can prevent ovulation or movement of the egg down the fallopian tubes.

Whilst some smokers are able to conceive naturally for others it is a major reason that they are unable to conceive. To optimize your health and fertility you need to give up smoking and allow your body the best chance to repair itself and improve your chances of getting pregnant naturally.
