You are pregnant; therefore you need to be more conscious of what you are eating. I have a few tips that I would like to share with you today regarding some do’s and don’ts when it comes to your pregnancy diet and nutrition plan. You want to be as healthy as possible to give your baby the best start in life, therefore you are here and I want to share my recommendations.
First remove coffee and soft drinks from your pregnancy diet and nutrition plan. The reason for this is the caffeine content. The caffeine causes your blood vessels to constrict, which reduces blood flow to the placenta. Caffeine also easily crosses the placenta which results in it reaching your baby which may cause problems with your baby’s developing cells.
Caffeine is also linked to low birth weight. It also raises your heart rate which will result in your blood pressure being raised as well. Caffeine also can cause insomnia, can contribute to heartburn and your body breaks down caffeine more slowly as your pregnancy progresses which causes more problems. Caffeine makes it hard for your body to absorb iron.
We all like muesli or granola bars, and we all also believe these to be great healthy snacks. But in fact they contain too much sugar as well as some not so good for you fat. Rather opt for some apple, fresh berries and cinnamon. You can even sprinkle some seeds on oats and then you have a winner breakfast for your pregnancy diet and nutrition plan.
You should be conscious about what you eat, and make healthy conscious decisions. You should make sure that your diet contains enough fresh fruit and vegetables. You should include some good fat in your daily nutrition plan. A good fish oil supplement is a source of good fat. Your pregnancy diet and nutrition plan should be clean and packed with nutrients, minerals and vitamins for both you and your baby. This means you need to stock up on fresh fruit and vegetables, free range chicken and meat, fish, potatoes, brown rice, oats and good fats are essential. Good fats include nuts, seeds, avocado and olive oil.
We all love margarine, but replace it with a healthier alternative such as real butter or some tasty avocado. Reduce your intake of bread and all processed foods. You should choose foods that releases energy slowly, and I come back to the point that fresh fruit and vegetables are best in incorporate in your daily pregnancy diet and nutrition plan. Fresh fruit is also a great alternative for snacking.
Give your developing baby the best start in life by choosing the best nutritious foods for your healthy pregnancy diet and nutrition plan. You will never look back, as you will be happy and healthy and you will have a healthy baby without any complications.
Every single day holds the promise of a miracle.
