Isn't it always the same question when your buying your first laptop. Pc or Mac? Its the one question that some people know right away and others are completely undecided or confused. Pc advertises their product as more proffessional and business like. Mac reaches out to the younger generation who want that more "cool" laptop.
Pc's and Mac's arent really as different as you think though. There advertisements aimed at different genre's of people is what decieves you sometimes. Pc's might be known for having faster hard drives to enjoy gaming and such, as Mac's are known for their more creative touch that involves music and video chatting. Each laptop might have a different outlining to it but each one still has the similiar basic components. A laptop is stilljust any othercomputer and both still use the same graphic cards, memory, and such things that can be bought separately.
The differences are really when it comes to the little things in each laptop that depend on the users preferences. For example if I have a Mac Im going to use Safari, and if I have a Pc then Im going to use Internet Explorer. The Mac's window setup is a lot different from the Pc'sbut once again that is completely the users preference.
Mac's canbe more fun you might saywhile being more creative but on the same time it cant compete with the Pc with gaming. If I have a computer game Im playing it on a Pc over a Mac everytime. Mac is more of your explore have fun laptop with the internet and the apps. A Pc laptop is more of a stay at home laptopthat isnt as creative as a Mac, but more simple, and everyone knows how to use it pretty well most of the time.
As a Pc owner I give myself credit of knowing a lot more about Mac's than most Pc user's do that I know. The Pc ownership is a older generation of people compared to the Mac's generation, and these older people know nothing about using a Mac. Most people know more about using a Pc which actually does have one down side. Pc's get viruses, Mac's dont which is a huge advantage to have as we all know. Its like the two things I worry the most about every week is not missing the Patriots game, and not having to wake up one day to see that my laptop's internet explorer wont work because it has a virus.
IfI had aMac I wouldn't have to worry about that; its that thought that almost makes the decision in the consumers mind. But then still you dont get viruses so oftenly that its a problem. Its just a sacrifice for the Pc's advantages over the Mac, as well as the Mac's advantages over the Pc, but in the end its all about your preferences. We all wish we could simply have a super computer that contains everything, but in today's world in doesn't exist unfortunately. You will have to try both Mac laptops and Pc laptops to really know what you want. Unless in the future new technology creates that super computer that is perfect :) In that case you will just have to wait.
