How the Sound Of Your Voice Affect Your Speech

In this article let's discuss the important role of the use of your voice volume,pace and pitch , as a public speaker you should make good use of these techniques; since the quality and success of your entire talk relays upon it. Using proper voice volume and pace will help your auditorium to understand what you say and more important yet is that it tells your audience how you really feel about what you are saying ,Hence motivating then to act upon the information you delivers. making your talk much more enjoyable to listen, Don't just limit yourself to the use of simple sence stress to help then understand what you say.

In contrast to any other creatures, Human voice is a wonderful instrument capable of a great variety . But this cannot be achieved by simply make note indicating , Ok; Now is time to rise the volume , Or slow down when reach certain part in your speech, No , Otherwise you will sound artificial instead of imparting life to your talk, All these emotions must come from your heart , You cannot fake it , That is why proper preparation is key to achieve this. You must get the purpose and spirit of your material, This way avoiding attract undue attention to the speaker instead fo the subject being discussed.

During your speech special attention must be paid to these points , Volume adjustment, Changes in pace, Pitch and laying the foundation. How can be done?

Volume: Select the volume appropriate and according to the material by varying your vocal expressions , Be careful not to increase and decrease the volume routinely with a monotonous regularity, That will completely distort the sense of what you are saying, Choose properly the objective of your material, wether is to motivate to action or make your main point stand out , Then greater volume to do that . If used with discretion. Your voice must vary when expressing urgency or strong conviction, etc.

Your pace : Avoid increasing your pace abruptly or speed up or slow down at regular pace, This can be achieved by speaking faster on point of less importance or when you consider that the audience might know the information, and slower on weighty arguments and main points. To convey excitement then speak rapidly.

Vary pitch: Excitement and enthusiasm may be expressed with a higher pitch , In the other hand when we express anxiety or sorrow we must use a narrower voice range or a lower pitch.

To lay the foundation , Modulation have to start from the very beginning of your speech, It is good to start by analyzing the nature of your material, Meditate on it and practice as often as needed , Until you get the very spirit of the material you are going to consider,
