With the rapid increase in print and mass media, journalism has made its roots stronger in Pakistan and rest of the developing countries. Pakistan is a country that is highly influenced by industrialist, politicians and feudal, which makes it hard for a journalist or a columnist to speak against their wrongdoings and unjust attitude with rest of the population. The developing media has provided a bold platform for Pakistani Columnists to speak the truth without fearing for the consequences. Due to the fact, that freedom of speech can be practiced in Pakistan now, many educated and talented individuals are attracted towards journalism and taking an active part in this profession. They are enthusiastic and passionate to deliver the fact and write about controversial issues, human rights and the violation going on in every sector more bluntly.

Independence and objectivity

A person is only said to be independent and objective if he or she rejects undue gifts and hospitality, from the culprits and wrongdoers. Same is the case with people working in journalism, whether they are English columnists, Urdu Columnists or reports a story in any capacity. Most of the journalists are successful in getting their jobs done honestly and sincerely, because they are not inclined to the world attractions and desires. All they know is to serve the society by bring the core issues, which are kept hidden by the high officials.

Ready to face challenges

Finding a fact and presenting it in the same manner is a real challenge in the world of journalism. The influential parties try to hide truth, threaten and pressurize them to keep their mouth shut, but never disarm their words with the fact happening around them. Their professional code of conduct demands patients, devotion and sacrifices of this temporary and short lived world. They are focused to share an unbiased opinion on what they see and observe in the politics, religion, culture and economics of the whole state and particularly in a region.

For centuries, we are been listening to the fact that the appearance of anything is quite different than what’s happening inside it, whether it’s the human being, a state, society or a system. And, digging out the fact from the decorated world is the real job of Pakistani columnists. They take your life on risk just to make the people aware of their surroundings, which is full of the demy gods, who neither distribute the resources fairly nor give rights to the one who deserves.
