Major Earthquake Hits DC

A couple of minutes ago I decided to pop over to google news to see what was shaking, and turns out the entire east coast was shaking. About an hour ago(from when I wrote this) a 5.8 magnitude earthquake with it's epicenter in virginia hit at 1:51pm according to the New York Times. Even though it was centered in Virginia there were reports of people feeling it up in Boston.

This kind of caught me off guard and I was surprised to hear about it. Lately, all the earthquakes have been coming from over in the Pacific areas, causing Tsunamis and tsunami warnings. I live in Hawaii so I got woken up in the wee hours of the morning asking if I was safe.

Anyways, I guess this has been the biggest earthquake to hit the eastcoast for a while. The New York Times article said that the biggest won before this earthquake was a 4.7 magnitude earthquake back in 1875. That explains why it's quite a shock to hear about an earthquake.

As usual the New York Times were so kind to inform us to WHERE the president was WHEN the earthquake hit and WHAT he was doing. However, they forgot to include HOW he felt about it. Tsk, tsk, tsk. The New York Times is slipping.

I haven't had a chance to check all the conspiracy theory blogs, but no doubt China and Kadafi have been in cohorts for some time planning this earthquake. China is on it because they're still mad over the whole US debt thing, and Kadafi didn't appreciate the whole Libya thing.

If I had a conspiracy theory blog I think I would also say that the Taliban would also be to blame for causing the earthquake since Osama Bin Laden wasn't killed too long ago, or if you really want to go far out Osama is still alive and his death was really just the CIA playing mind games...

Hmmm, let's see then another potential cause is 2012. 2012 is right around the corner and that is when the world is supposed to end, isn't it? There was a hurricane that formed earlier this week, so the Earth must be warming up for 2012.

And still yet another possibility are aliens. They might be orbiting our planet in a cloaked space ship messing with our weather. I mean when you have nothing to do on your planet on the other side of the galaxy, isn't always fun to go mess with another planet? I guess it's the intergalatic equivalent of toilet papering someone's house.

There is one thing that couldn't have caused it geologically old faults in the area. Who believes in those? :P

I'm just surprised Obama hasn't been on the news yet, claiming about how he single handedly saved Washington DC from being destroyed by the earthquake.

Breaking News: Don’t Watch The News!
What bugs me? Well, I didn’t much like hearing that Romney could get away with a ‘no comment’ when asked if he’s against renewing the bill that protects women from violence—but that could have been spin—even so, I don’t like that he didn’t get in front of a camera to…
