The answer? I don't know but I'm hoping it won't be until the sun goes super nova in several million years.
With all of these people predicting the end of the world, the most recent as we all know being May 21st, oops October 21st or was that sometime in 1994, oh well. I wonder if these people enjoy looking like fools or do they follow the philosophy of even a broken clock is right once a day.
And of course the end of the world predictors only need to be once. I guess they're in a competition for whose prediction and on what date wins. I'll make my own - five million year from now when the sun explodes. Don't have to worry about being around to be proven right or wrong.
I suspect it's easier to be a psychic than what you might actually think. Yes you will find true love. Your Knight in shiny Armor is searching for you to come and sweep you off your feet and carry you away to a life of eternal bliss and happiness.
In my own case I remember back in 1998 there were news headlines into the investigation of a plane crash off New York a year or two before. I remember saying I bet we're going to have a plane crash off Nova Scotia within five years. Two weeks later a Swiss Airliner crashed.
Did my prediction have anything to do with it? No. There's one or two airliner crashes every year. It was just a matter of time.
In order to make predictions all you have to do is look at the past and you can predict the future fairly easily. There's at least one major natural disaster every year, 2010 it was Haiti, 2011 it was Japan. Next year? Hopefully catastrophe decides to take a year or thousand off.
The media loves it when people predict bad things happening. It sells newspapers and magazines. The headline "plane lands safely, all passengers aboard are in excellent health" is never a headline. That's the most likely reason for the hype surrounding the 2012 end of the world.
Another problem that makes it difficult to believe in predictions is have you ever noticed why we've never seen the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery?"
While it is definitely prudent to prepare for a disaster happening, when they do they have nothing to do with anyone who predicted them. So do your emergency planning and most of all enjoy your time on this planet because the end of the world is most likely not tomorrow,
Hi Ian, With the government's trillion dollar deficit keeps on growing and all our leaders can think of is taxing the rich, looks like the end of the world is not too far away. How about we all work together to educate the American people and our leaders in the government? This is the very reason that I wrote my article. Regards, Daniel
