The Impact Of One; You Can Be The Change

If your government is not overburden, I believe the government of Ghana is overloaded with the challenges (needs) of its citizens even though they are striving to meet most of the challenges by passing laws that will curb some of these challenges.

I have also noticed that some of the politicians don’t really think about the layman on the street, I am talking about the roosted plantain sellers, the masons, fisher men, community dwellers etc. however, they only think about their household and their belly while they extend and do little improvements in their communities when they are elected into office.

I have also noticed that, issues of sustainable development have been politicized and it is overwhelming.

There are other Politicians who are also servant leaders who put the needs of their people as their utmost priority.

So are we the educated youth going to sit down and until when, are other citizens going to have good education under a conducive atmosphere, a tomato seller can also send her child to school without paying huge sums of money, the outbreak of malaria, road accidents, deforestation, water problems etc.

What will be your significance if you go through Junior and Senior High schools, continue in the University, finish and probably you do your masters, get a job, get married if you like, grow old and fade to the richest place in the world?

What will be your legacy? How many lives have you saved? How many lives have you touched through your small contribution in this world? Have you made a positive change in another person’s life?

“Education must enhance an individual to think and progress for the greater good of his people and their environs,” by Patrick Adjei Nketia

We have a crucial role to play in the development of this nation as an educated youth of this noble country.

I believe that if every African youth is going to have this mindset of servitude and to see himself as an agent of change, then Africa will stand tall in peace, freedom and prosperity.

I am a person of compassion; when I hear others suffering my spirit quicken to help in whatever way I can. I believe it surrounds around my purpose and my quest to serve humanity which I believe is the best work of life.

You can also create a positive change in your community. You just have to go to the chief and ask him what are some of the problems or developments they need and find some like-minded people who can support you. You can also join a youth organization who shares this mission.

You can also listen to the indigenes and you will get genuine concerns to deal with. Start with brainstorming, meet together and devise strategies and plans to execute this challenge. Draft proposals, find sponsors and believe you can make it happen.

You are an agent of change, don’t go and add up to the richest place in the world just like but rather, empty yourself unto this world and your reward will be in Heaven.

I know of Junior Chamber International, the most outstanding youth organization in the world. Google it and find its local organization near you and join.

I have made my decision. The rest is up to you to choose.

I wish you all the best and I am most grateful to have you reading this article. However, try and practice what you have read here.

Keep the positive mental attitude in all you do.
