Well I am sure everyone is buzzing about what our great leader said last night. He supports gay marriage. Well to me he was smart to say that. Come on, it's all about another four years, right? Well I did not vote and I will probably never vote again in my life. I voted for Bill Clinton. Sorry if you don't like that!
But back to that statement. I am on the fence as far as that is concerned. I have friends who are gay and I love them, they are no different then you and me except in some of the things they do. But I have a conflict in myself with regards to my religion. Homosexuality has been around for centuries. We have just chosen to ignore it, because for the most part people think it is not normal. Well what is normal really? If someone does not do things the way you do them, look like you, or whatever like you does that make them not normal. Well no not really.
I just recently took a look at the Ten Commandments. According to my religion these are the rules to follow if you want eternal life. There is no specific rule for homosexuality, it does not say thou shalt not lay with a person of the same sex, or however in the hell you want to word it. People will do what they want when they want how they want. It is not a lifestyle for me but I would never shun anyone or judge them for having a different lifestyle form me.
The way I see it if God exists and what I have believed all my life is true, then God will deal with them. It is not for me to judge what anyone does or says. But back to Obama and what he said. He would have to be a fool not to say he supports gay marriage. Do you not realize most homosexuals are very successful people, professional, good people, and they usually have a fair amount of money. Sorry not trying to stereotype people but that is my experience.
The bottom line is he had to say that or something like that to help him get re-elected. He may truly support gay marriage, but to me he should support freedom. Freedom comes with a price for all of us, and if you believe in God you know the wages of sin is death. I can only control what I do, I can not control or speak for anyone else's actions. Who has the right to tell anyone how to live their life, No One! So I say Yeah to Obama, and good luck cuz you are gonna need it. And if you don't like it or understand, oh well because majority rules in this country. This is my opinion and take it for what it is worth. Nothing!
