Zsa Zsa Gabor In Coma

Zsa Zsa Gabor has slipped into a coma in a Los Angeles hospital while suffering from stomach infection caused by a tube used for treating her medical ailments. Old age has not been good to Ms. Gabor medically. She recently lost part of one leg and she suffered a serious rise in blood pressure when she learned of the death of Elizabeth Taylor.

Eva Gabor and Zsa Zsa Gabor appeared in movies and on television. Their nack for comedy is well-known. Eva performed in Gigi and on Green Acres with Eddy Albert. Zsa Zsa performed in Moulin Rouge and Lili and other films. The Hungarian beauties were frequent guest on television and radio shows often acting in comedy sketches.

Zsa Zsa is know for her quotation such as:

"Macho does not prove mucho.

“I'm an excellent housekeeper. Every time I get a divorce, I keep the house.

“There is nothing wrong with a woman welcoming all men's advances as long as they are in cash," and

“Women need a reason to have sex. Men just need a place."

After eight failed marriages, Zsa Zsa married Frederic Prinz von Anhalt. Prinz does not refer to his status in life. It is a German name. He is called "Ahalt" in some circles because of his sometimes weird behavior. He loves publicity and claimed to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's child. This was disproven by DNA analysis. The marriage has been a success, the flamboyant German socialite fitting right in with Zsa Zsa's image.

Other marriages of Zsa Zsa were to:

1. Burhan Belge 1937-1940 2. Conrad Nicholson Hilton 1942-1947 3. George Sanders 1949-1954 4. Herbert L. Hunter 1962-1966 5. Joshua Seney Cosden Jr. 1966-1967 6. John W. (Jack) Ryan 1975-1976 7. Michael John O'Hara 1976-1982 8. Count Felipe de Alba 1983 and immediately annulled.

The Gabor family moved to the United States shortly after World War II. Since the family had some experience in the film industry, they moved to Hollywood, California. However the Gabor family was not poor when Zsa Zsa was born in Budapest in 1917. The family was in the jewelry business and she and her sisters lived the life of the rich. She was educated in boarding school in Switzerland and studied voice, attended acting school and appeared in an operetta.

At age 15, Zsa Zsa was married to Burhan Belge. At age 19, she was Miss Hungary. She traveled to the United States with her mother to join Eva who had immigrated earlier.
