There is no denying that the last few years have focused heavily on the inherent health dangers of smoking. Whilst that is a positive for the non smoker, it has also put a lot of pressure on smokers looking for an alternative way to break their smoking habit.
The market has become inundated with numerous products all claiming to be the ultimate solution to help you stop smoking. But how many of them really work? And what sort of success rates have they had?
Sadly many are simply a waste of money, but the good news is the positive results claimed by many who have switched to e cigarettes. In this e cigarette review we are going to look at the benefits and possible disadvantages of e cigarettes.
E cigarettes also known as electronic cigarettes are proving to be one of the most successful products in the stop smoking campaigns. They actually look like real cigarettes and even produce artificial smoke, but don’t contain any nicotine or other harmful chemicals. Consequently the smoker is still able to feel they are indulging their habit but without any of the nastier side effects.
Usually when you decide to try e cigarettes you invest in a starter’s kit which contains the battery (the body of the cigarette) a USB charger to plug into your computer and the atomizers/cartridges which contain the liquid that vaporizes when you inhale. These kits' can range in price between $50 - $100.
These atomizers come in a range of flavors and you can select your favorites, some even have nicotine or menthol flavors but again without the harmful additives. Once your battery is charged you screw the atomizer into the battery and you are set to go. To all intents and purposes it feels as if you are smoking a normal cigarette, just that you are inhaling a harmless vapor. They replicate cigarettes even to the extent of the tip of the e cigarette glowing red when you inhale.
You can also purchase different strengths of cartridges dependent on what you need to wean yourself down. The cartridges come in different size packs and in many cases can be purchased online.
On average one cartridge is estimated to equate to smoking a pack of 30 cigarettes but this is only an approximation since it will vary depending on how many times you draw down on your cigarette. But one of the biggest savings is the cost as one cartridge equates to approximately $4.00 radically cheaper than a packet of 30 cigarettes.
The batteries are supposed to last for up to three months but again this varies dependent on usage. A replacement battery can cost on average $27 but again you will find different prices available by different manufacturer.
As with any new product you will find the market gets swamped with cheap versions, and it is suggested you read a few e cigarette reviews before making your first purchase so you know exactly what to look for. It is better to stick with a reputable company where you can follow up and questions you may have about the product.
If you are really serious about stopping smoking then it is recommended that you consider reading e cigarette reviews your first step in the right direction to breaking your habit.
