A lot of people are now aware of the power of hypnosis and some have begun to use hypnosis as a way to help them to quit smoking once and for all. Many people have managed to quit using hypnosis but some people have reported that it did not work for them. The question is will hypnosis work for you if you want to quit smoking? Those are some of the questions we will be answering in this article. There are other methods you can use to quit smoking. This article will focus solely on the use of hypnosis as a way of quitting smoking.
First of all there are 3 parts of the human mind. There us the conscious mind which is the rational part of the human mind. This is the part that we use to assess information that is presented to us using our 5 senses. Our rational conscious mind then processes this information and decides what to do with it or what action to take.
There is another part of the mind called the unconscious mind. This is the part of the mind that controls our automatic behaviors. These are behaviors that we do not need to think about for us to do and are normally essential processes. These involve things like digesting, breathing and other automatic responses.
There is the final part of the mind called the subconscious mind. This part of the mind controls our habits and does not process anything. It accepts all information which is fed into it as true. It also makes associations with different things and events in our minds. This is the part of the mind in which we are trying to influence when we want to stop smoking with hypnotherapy. Our smoking habits are ingrained in this part of the mind and smoking is also associated with good feelings. This means that whenever we are stressed and want a boost of some kind we usually turn to smoking because that is what is associated with feeling good in our minds.
In order to stop smoking with hypnotherapy we would want to associate smoking with bad, negative feelings. To stop smoking with hypnotherapy we will access the subconscious mind and suggest to it that maybe smoking isn’t so good after all and try to associate negative feelings to smoking. That way smoking will not help us get rid of stress and this will help us move toward not smoking in future. As mentioned before there are a lot of other ways in which one can quit smoking. I agree that hypnosis is the easy way to stop quit smoking and that is hypnosis - simply because it bypasses the conscious thought processes and communicates directly with the unconscious. Smokers don't usually believe that it's possible to stop smoking in three sessions, but it absolutely is, I do this all the time with clients.
