Women\'s Professional Racquetball Organization

Women's racquetball has some of the best players in the world and has quite a few tournaments each year and most of these tournaments are held in the U.S.

Gigi Rock who is the brains behind the organization has a great spirit and has really hard work ethics that i believe will make this sport for women really popular. She also has another businesses and her motto is that you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Women's pro racquetball has actually been around quite a while and there tour started in 1980 and was ran by a group that did really well in the early years thanks to a great battle between two of women's great players of all time. The league lasted quite a while and was very popular.

In 2005 all the players took over the ownership of the league and it was reorganized and renamed and it is now currently ran by seven members and three of them are currently racquetball players.

Christie Van Hees who is a Canadian racquetball player was the number one player at the end of 2004-2005. She didn't play any events in 2011-2012 so she is currently unranked. Never the less Christie has three U.S.open racquetball championships which is the most popular professional racquetball title but is second to Rhonda Rajsich who has won four.Christie Van Hees finished the season as the number one player in 2005. Christie has won 6 Canadian championships ,she has also won two world championships and she won the world junior championships in 1995.

Christie retired in 2001 but decided to come back in 2003 in which she had a huge success reaching the final in my mind one of the best U.S. opens in the racquetball pro tour.

In August of 2009 she married Jack Huczek an American who is also a champion player.having won three world championships himself. Christie is originally from Kelowna B.C. is now living with her husband Jack and daughter it Dallas Texas .

I myself a racquetball player had the great pleasure of meeting Christie and actually got a lesson from her and at the time i had a huge bandage on my knee from a surgery i had previous and i have to say she is one of the nicest people i have ever met. If i ever get the chance i will watch some of the women's professional racquetball association live. Thanks Christie.

Cheers Paul.
