With the 2011 Summer Concert Tours in full swing everyone is wondering where to go for summer fun. From outdoor festivals to singers or plays, there are more choices than days in the summer to enjoy them.
Outdoor festivals promise fun for the whole family. Manchester’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is taking place June 9th through June 12th and the 2011 lineup looks exciting. Event goers can expect performances from Eminem, My Morning Jacket, Ray Lamontagne and many more artists.
Nashville Tennessee is home to the CMA music festival. This year’s line-up is looking pretty awesome with Taylor Swift, Sugarland and Jason Aldean to name a few. The festival starts on June 9th and rocks on through June 12th.
Still not enough? Atlanta, Georgia hosts the Buckhead Music Festival on July 30th and the Xtreme Muzik Festival is on July 22nd in Pittsburgh. Festivals and outdoor events are taking place in just about every state and are a fantastic way to make fun memories with families and friends that last a lifetime.
But festivals aren’t the only summer events cooking. The 2011 summer concert tours include artists such as Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift and Usher. Alice Cooper is making his rounds with most US performances happening in August.
Wicked, the new broadway musical is about the two witches of Oz and their untold stories. Wicked is a smash hit and is playing all over the United States in cities like San Diego, Richmond and Detroit. Other awesome performances include Anything Goes and Cirque Du Soleil, an exciting combination of acrobatics, dance and daring feats.
Amidst all the concerts, festivals and theatre performances are the many sports events. The Concacaf Gold Cup Soccer final is in Pasadena at the Rose Bowl and tickets are still on sale for many of the games leading up to it. Tickets are already on sale for the February 5, 2012 Super Bowl and for golf lovers there’s the Eastvale Golf Festival in Corona California on June 25th 2011.
It’s no doubt that this summer is shaping up to be full of fun and excitement. Families have so many events to choose from that the hardest part of summer will be deciding which ones to go to. Summer only lasts for a few short months. It’s time to cast off the problems that weigh down our daily lives, if only for a few hours, and go have some fun. Problems come and go but memories with friends and family last a lifetime.
