I love to RV, but I don't like camping next to someone. So, I was looking for some type of a portable wall that would give my husband and I a little more privacy between us and the next motorhome. Anyway, I did a search on the internet and found something I thought would work. It was called a Wallup. I guess some people call it a wall in a bag. Anyway, I didn't want to waste my money and buy another throw away product so I sent an e-mail to the owner of the company never thinking he would respond, but I'd give it a try. I was pleasanty surprised. He answered my questions and a Wallup was bought. But this article isn't really about the Wallup as much as it is about the guy who invented it.
I've was born & raised in Vancouver, Washington. Every winter I threaten to leave, but I'm still here. Anyway, the guy who invented this product lived in Spokane, Washington so I felt a certain connection to him because he was from my home state. I had read his bio and he obviously knew something about camping and hunting. What I didn't know were the other things this man had experienced. His name is Aaron Inman and he's obviously been an outdoorsman for many, many years.
Aaron Inman is not afraid of anything. Let me give you an example. One time he saw a live rattlesnake and grabbed the rattle off of it. For real. That's only the beginning. Another time he came upon three bears. No, he didn't run away from them, he ran toward them. He said it scared them to death and they took off. I'm not done yet. One time a train hit him and he has lived to talk about it. Another time he caught a deer with a lasso. There's more. He also jumped off a cliff that was over 120 feet high, into the water. Do you know how high that is? We're not done yet. He's used his head to break bricks and beer bottles. He also eats glass. This is one tough cookie. Anyway, I can't tell you how much I admire this man's guts. Is he crazy or am I? This is a real man's man.
I thought that I was adventurous. When I was much younger, I had been a trapeze artist and later became a pilot. That's nothing compared to Aaron Inman. He says that his product, the Wallup is just as tough as him. It probably is.
After reading Aaron Inman's stories, I'm feeling pretty tame in my line of work. I'm just a talent agent. Here I am sitting at my desk, either on the computer or on the phone listening to another musician tell me how great their band is. I'm sure it is. I love musicians but their stories are so much different than Aaron Inman's. Well, now that I think about it, they both involve wildlife.
