An Indian organisation, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was set up for recruiting eligible staff in various departments, ministeries and Indian Government offices. Various competitive examinations are held in India by SSC and on the basis of their result and after following other selection procedures, most deserving and suitable persons are recruited against the notified vacancies. The SSC Result for all the competitive examinations conducted by SSC are uploaded on the official SSC website only. The SSC commission consists of Chairman, Member (2) and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations and it is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training. SSC recruits the staff mainly for the following posts-
- All the Group āCā posts except the ones which does not comes under the purview of the Staff Selection Commission.
- All competitive examinations related to defence services are also held by SSC
SSC releases various official notifications at different time intervals for filling vacancies in the Indian Government officies and departments. These notifications provide all the details regarding the post, mode of applying, eligibility criteria, application fees required to be remitted, important dates, pay band and selection procedure etc. Generally a written test is conducted first for every post and the candidates who qualify this written test are further called upon for the typing/skill/physical test (depending upon the post candidate has applied for) mandatorily required to be taken up for various posts. Thereafter, the candidates selected are called up for the last stage, being the personal interview. Overall performance of the candidate is judged in the personal interview round and final list of the eligible candidates is made who are considered to be recruited at the vacant positions.
The exams conducted by SSC are DEO Grade B, Junior Graphical Assistant, Junior Technical Assistant, Junior Engineers, Group āCā posts of Data Entry Operator in Pay Band 1 and Lower Division Clerk in Pay Band 1 (SSC CHSL), Sub Inspector in Central Armed Forces, Assistant Sub Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force, Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (SSC SI) etc. The SSC Result for all these and other SSC conducted examinations is uploaded using a distinguished web link on the SSC website. The result is uploaded at various stages in pdf format stating the roll no. & names of the qualifying candidates.
The SSC written examination generally comprise of MCQ based questions asked from the respective field for which the examination is conducted. Also the paper does have questions asked for evaluating the layman knowledge of the appearing candidate regarding General knowledge & awareness, Quantitative aptitude & reasoning and basic questions related to English subject.

Candidates can follow the below listed steps for their assistance in availing their respective result-
- Firstly candidates will be required to access the SSC official web portal.
- Thereafter, candidates are required to search for the respective web link of the result that they wish to avail and click on it. After clicking, a pdf file will be displayed containing the roll no. of all the candidates who would have qualified.
- Candidates if want can take the print out of their result for their immediate reference or usage.
