Benefits Of Plyometrics Training  -  None at All

If you thought that there were little to no benefits doing plyometrics, you will be in for a treat. This improve muscle elasticity, strength of the muscles and the tissues around it, allowing you to jump higher, run faster, hit harder, or any other goals you may wish to achieve.

So what other benefits can you reap from plyometrics training?

Increase your bone density

Besides becoming faster, the benefits of plyometrics training extends to other health benefits such as increasing bone density for children, as well as women, who tend to lose bone mass when they age as compared to men. Studies have also shown that women in the pre-menopause stage are able to gain positive bone mass at the hip by doing just 50 jumps a day (a plyometrics exercise)!

Enhance posture and balance

Plyometrics training can also improve your posture and balance, providing better physique and apperance. For older people, plyometrics training can also come in handy by preventing falls from the improved balance and postures that the plyometric training develops in you.

Induce calorie burns

You must be thinking, doesnt any other exercise allow you to burn calories? Yes, any exercise can burn calories. In fact, just sitting down reading this article is burning calories. The question is. How much calories is being burnt? As compared to just a normal run on the treadmill, plyometrics not only help you burn calories but also enhances your body metabolism, to induce the process of burning calories EVEN FASTER. This means that you even if you are not doing any strenuous activities (eg. sleeping), you are still burning off calories due to your increased metabolism from the plyometrics training!
