Now that there are more people with a burning desire to get out of corporate life because of its instability, the lure of internet money is getting stronger but more restricted. Even search engines have begun to take extra measures to prevent abuse of their systems which has made internet marketing and rankings a bit more complicated.
Since 2009, the growth of Internet sales has been eye-boggling. Sales in social sites amounted to $9.2 billion in 2012. It was a welcome relief for many businesses after the dismal sales from 2009 to 2011 which was basically a period when many Americans were cutting back on everything but the basics In fact, today, 60% of online users are willing to buy non-necessities online if they see it as being value for money or a sale too good to pass up.
If you are venturing into the online marketplace with a goal to be on the top pages of Google, there's a lot to learn. You could take the easy route and just hire an internet marketing expert. Like Launchevity, to work the system for you or you could venture out on your own and have some fun. Don't be mistaken, there's a lot of work that has to be done and a lot of ground to cover but it's an even playing ground, much more than in the corporate world - and that's where the thrill of doing business online steps in.
With the right online marketing, you could be a part of the 2,000% increase in blog traffic and the 40% revenue increase enjoyed by many online sites in the last 2 years. A professional online marketer can build and manage blogs mimicking the proven formula of 81% of top websites that stand by their blogs as a high income-generating task. Compared to ads, search engine optimization (SEO) has an almost 15% close rate
compared to print media which has a low 1.7%. And about 18% of Google organic clicks end up in the #1 position of a search with similar results for Bing and Yahoo.
Here are some ideas for getting noticed faster but keep in mind that you may have to do more, depending on your niche and targeted audience:
• Your title tag should have the main keyword because it's the title that will see you through Google's search results:
Use meta tags to your advantage. Although they are important and should be used in your web pages, it's more important to concentrate on getting people to bookmark and be subscribers to your website. Therefore include meta tags but also make your content informative and engaging. Make people bookmark and come back for more. After all, the popularity of your site is what will get you the most clicks. Word of mouth, referrals, and recommendations are still very powerful tools so use them to your advantage.
• Try typing in your company's name on the Google search page. You'll probably find something about your firm. It's not hard to get on Google but it is hard to get on the first page of a popular search. Obviously, your company name may be one way individuals find you. Therefore always work diligently to have positive information appear about your site. On the rare occasion where you have a negative listing you must do everything you can to hide it. This may include flooding the bad with more good.
• Develop strategic partnerships. It's always a good idea to get other sites to link up with your website. For instance, let's say you own a marketing assistant firm. Well, you could easily pair up with an swe firm to provide even more services to your clients. Not only will this increase the number of visitors to your site but it will help you climb the rankings also. One great way to do this is to hire affiliates to promote your program. With affiliates, you can pay them to do the promoting for you. You simply pay them a commission based on any sales they make. It's really a win-win solution.
• Target long-tailed keywords. Long-tailed keywords are keywords that have 2- 3 words in them. They typically have high search volume and lower competition and are typically easier to place for than others. With this in mind, use long-tailed
keywords to your advantage.
The bottom line is that getting to the top of Google more than mastering tricks in traffic generation and internet marketing. You need to be more professional in your methods if you want to keep making money on the internet. This means either getting an internet expert to help you or personally work day and night on the right techniques.
