Internet of Things abbreviated as IoT, is a network of internet connected devices. As the name suggests it is a network of ‘things’, which are connected to internet and can transmit data without human to human or human to computer interactions. The concept of Internet of Things exists from long time, but it is now that the concept is getting a real-world existence. Work is being done in various parts of the world, and IoT is the next big thing in the ways of accessing and using internet to transfer data. According to reports, the internet of Things will contain more than 200 billion devices (things) by the end of year 2020. At current scenario we can see IoT in action between machine to machine interactions; like in smart houses, cars, handheld devices, and of course computers and laptops. But as per the plans and predictions there will be more number of devices (things) in coming future and that too with variations. In coming future there will be not just the electronic machines as the ‘things’ of IoT, but even people and animals will be the ‘things’.

A person with a heart monitor implant, an automobile that has built-in sensors, a farm animal with a biochip transponder, or any other natural/man-made object, which can be assigned an IP address and has ability to transfer data over a network, can be a ‘thing’ in Internet of Things network. This does sounds fictional, but IoT is a reality now, and is continually growing at a fast pace. But, one thing that always remains there in a network is the attack by cyber criminals; IoT is also not an exception. Just like the www/internet that we use mostly today, gets attacked and used by criminals to spread viruses, Trojans, malware, spyware, and other malicious contents, the IoT is also expected to get attacked by criminals. And the attacks in case of IoT can be way more dangerous than attacks in PC, laptop, or mobiles.

Leading security vendor McAfee understands this and the number and impact of attacks in IoT network. So as a part of its all-inclusive plan for securing all devices, McAfee is rolling out a series of partnership with other security solution providers. According to the company, it will establish a security plan, which will be rooted within the designs of the devices, instead of making security a postscript (that is by adding security later). The company plans to center on a secure and holistic solution that ensures lifetime protection to devices while locking down data across multiple environments.

These are the scenarios that are still to come. In the mean time it is best to stay glued to reliable and strong McAfee security solutions to keep your data protected. Usually you won't get any issues with McAfee products, but if it arises, simply call at the McAfee Technical Support Number and get the much needed resolutions.

Good thing is technical support for McAfee is provided from various sources, now. SupportBuddy is among the best tech support companies. It is best known for its quick, effective, and reliable McAfee resolutions.
