Introduction:

Hypnosis is "a trance state which can be achieved by extreme suggestibility, relaxation and heightened imagination.'' here trance means “It is a natural state of mind occurring whenever your attention is narrowly focused and relatively free of distractions. Your attention may be focused either internally or externally. It is actually a state of increased awareness with deep mental and physical relaxation!’’

It used to be like a mystery in older times,there is a misconception like it is used for entertainment or taking a control over a person and make him do whatever we want but it is only a bit of the whole story.Hypnotism is much more then all this, it can be done for medical purposes also.

In this type of treatments the therapist take the patient in a semi unconscious mental state and give him some instructions, although this require more sitting.

one can cure many things with the help of hypnosis,like stopping negative thoughts, overcome fear of public speaking, shyness, boost confidence, can quit smoking, reduce the waistline etc. etc.........!

This doesn't always require a therapist for this, even after learning self hypnosis one can do these practices and cure all whatever he desires.This is possible in this internet era because there are many courses available in the market which can be brought and learned at home by a little discipline and dedication.Through this one can not only saves valuable time as well as saves money also, because a hypnotherapist can cost a significant amount of money every week.

Practitioners say that mind is in two forms conscious and sub-conscious, mostly when we are awaken stage mind remains in conscious stage this is also known as analytical stage but when the somebody is hypnotized the mind goes in sub-conscious stage and this is the stage when mind accept all the given as it is and believe that the given information is true and thus in this stage the therapists give some positive instructions to the mind and thus any kind of illness is cured.

Now the question arises that Is It really effective?

There are many reports that clarify that through hypnosis a patient can reduce blood pressure, anxiety, stress, pain, It can help in changing behavior such as smoking alcohol, consumption, overeating etc.Even reports show that the women in the state of hypnosis was much relaxed and deliveries were more comfortable.

Overall hypnosis done under the supervision is mush safer because there are some people who have certain type of mental disorders cannot be hypnotized.Emotional distress may happen in some situation.
