Breville Bje510xl Overview

When my old blender gave up the ghost I started looking for a replacement. What I wasn't prepared for were the number of different models & types to I had to choose from. I wanted something that was easy to clean, wasn't too noisy & was easy to use, the Breville BJE510XL seemed to fit the bill.

There are so many health benefits to be had by eating a variety of fruit & vegetables. You only have to look at the research to see that studies have shown that a regular intake in your diet can reduce your risk of heart attacks, strokes & some cancers. You can also improve hair, skin & nails as many essential vitamins & minerals are contained in different fruits & vegetables.

Whilst I enjoy healthy eating there is only so much time in a day spent on mealtimes, I find that by making drinks, I can increase my daily intake without too much trouble.

Reading the juicer reviews during my search I came across the following info on different types

Masticating – Usually more expensive, this type crush the fruit & veg using gears, the contents are then passed through a sieve to separate the juice.

Centrifugal – These have fast a spinning sieve with toothed blades at the bottom & the juice is separated from the pulp.

Manual - If you want a workout whilst preparing your juice, this could be the option for you.

The Breville Ikon is a centrifugal juicer, unlike many it does allow you to control the speed. As I've already mentioned I like to use my juicer regularly, therefore I want something that I can leave on the work top. I have bought various utensils in the past, put them away in a cupboard & they never see daylight again.

Here is a brief overview of the Breville Juicers features

5 speeds – can be set between 6500 & 12500 rpm

Powerful 900 watt motor

Stainless steel & black case

Built in circular tube – eliminates the need to peel or chop things like carrots, apples

All attachments are dishwasher safe.

1 litre juice jug with a detachable spout for easy no-spill pouring

LCD display allows you to check required speed against icons.

The manufacturer states the cutting disc will extract up to 40% more vitamins & minerals & 30% more juice than other units.

In conclusion customers seem to find this Breville BJE510XL a stylish unit that is easy to use & keep clean. The fact that it is relatively quiet & has a variable speed option is an added bonus.
