When you need to have a lot of balloons inflated, the easiest way to accomplish the task is by using a helium tank for balloons. Of course, for most people, the image that comes to mind automatically are the big giant tanks that sit in floral shops or other places where inflated and special ordered helium balloons are sold, but there are other options, including those that are much smaller and meant for the typical person in their own home. In fact, these have become so user friendly, that you can often pick up and entire kit, which has the helium tank for balloons plus the balloons at the local department stores as well as many other big box retailers. You may even find them in the discount or resale stores if you are lucky and know what you are looking for.
Regardless of the size of helium tank for balloons you buy, you have two choices: disposable or refillable. With the refillable tank, you know that you are not causing a large tank to be thrown into a landfill and possibly hurting the environment, but they can be pricier as well as much heavier. They are typically on the larger size so if you are only inflating twenty balloons or fewer, they make little sense to use at all. On the other hand, the smaller, disposable tanks are handy to have at the house for a single birthday party and should be emptied out according to directions before of disposing properly. If you are going to be filling a huge amount of balloons, the disposable helium tank for balloons probably will not be adequate and might not be your best choice to make.
The only problem with buying the small, disposable helium tank for balloons kits in these stores is the limited choices you get for balloon colors, sizes and shapes. If you want a certain type of balloon, you are going to have to buy those in addition to what is already in the kit which can increase your cost substantially. If you are buying the kit only to save money, then both its smaller size and its limited choices might negate any of the savings that you might have seen.
For most people, the concern they have with the larger, refillable tanks is that they are not safe and that they will end up blowing up half of the neighborhood rather than just inflating a few balloons. The helium tank for balloons is not as dangerous as people think and most accidents occur because people are not following directions and heeding precautions. In some places, you cannot rent these tanks until you are properly instructed on their safe use while in others, you can request a demonstration so that you are more comfortable with using them. If you are that seriously uncomfortable with using a helium tank for balloons, it is probably money well spent just to go ahead and have them inflated by someone else.
