A lot of people have had success with chemical peels and acid treatments. I find these methods to be too severe on my skin. I do not know about you but I do not want anything on my skin that is bad for the environment.
Therefore I researched and found several ways to get lighter skin naturally. The best part of it is you probably already have the ingredients in your kitchen.
3 Natural Ways Lighten Skin:
1. Apple Cider Vinegar- The acidic nature of the vinegar will help lighten the skin. The vinegar can be applied directly to the affected area. For best results use multiple times a day. You should see some lightening in a couple of weeks.
2. Honey and lemon juice- Combine in equal parts. Apply to skin and let set for about 20 minutes. Reapply daily and you should see results in a couple of weeks.
3. Home micro-dermabrashion- Mix two tablespoons of olive oil with one cup of coarse sea salt. Exfoliate the darker skin with it. Repeat every other day.
You can combine the treatments as well. I would apply 1 and 2 first then exfoliate second. The best part is you already have the ingredients at home.
There are More natural ways to get lighter skin than these. One of the best ways to treat hyper-pigmentation is by protecting your skin from over exposure in the first place. But that is not always practical or fun. So if you do notice areas with uneven to you know how to treat them without harming your skin or the environment.
