When on the beach or at the pool on holiday one of my main worries as a parent is how to keep them protected from the sun. There are many sun creams to protect them but also floating swim suits or float suits for kids can give added UV protection.
As my daughter loves the sun and sand she is always first in the water whether down at the pool or in the sea. I have a very confident little girl! But sun burn is a very worrying factor.
Most sun creams need to be applied on several occasions during the day and can become sticky and greasy on her skin. Being in and out the water this can become even more of a nightmare as sand builds up on her.
The float suits she has in her holiday suitcase (after reading the label) gave UV protection up to an SPF of 50+! Great I thought, most of her body is covered by the floating swim suit so cuts out the need for sun cream splatted over her! Next step get a piece of head wear that can cover her head and neck and most of the sunlight getting through can be greatly reduced.
This gave us as a family a little time to wonder the market stalls within the resort. After a bit of haggling with the locals we bought my little girl a cute skip hat with a protector that ran down the back of the neck and top of her shoulders.
Now my daughter can go ahead and play on the beach or pool with enough sun cream to cover the parts of her body exposed to the sun and have her floating swim suit and hat covering the rest of her. Good stuff, great sun protection without the hassle of too much sun cream covering her body!
The suns harmful rays will always be a worry in hot weather and most sun creams become less effective as the day goes on .Sometimes you can forget to re apply creams. Having most of the body covered by UV protected swim suits can be a real bonus in this situation.
Before you consider which floating swim suit to buy for your kid or kids make sure to check if they indeed provide UV protection. Most do and the level of protection will be clearly stated on the label. A good float suit and hat will give you peace of mind on holiday that your kids are well protected during the hottest parts of the day when they are around the pool or beach.
Floating swim suits worn in or out the water and with an SPF of 50+ can block 98% harmful UV rays. So float suits for your kids are a must have in the hot weather when water is involved.
