Here is An Overview Of A Honey Homemade Face Mask for Acne And How it Beautifies

Many people are not too familiar with honey and how to create a homemade face mask for acne from it. Some people may have heard of it but maybe have not seen them in their local stores. If you know about them and are a bit familiar with them, you know that they are good for the skin and very popular too. Here is a bit of information about honey and the honey mask, that might help in giving you a better understanding of it.

If you have ever heard of people mention honey masks, you will know that they are really great for your skin. Honey is humectant and that is one reason why people use it in a mask. Well, what it does is help in keeping or attracting moisture to your skin. Your skin will feel so silky, soft, elastic and supple because of the hydration in it. Honey also has anti-oxidant properties in it, which play a big role in protecting your skin from those harmful UV rays. If you use a darker honey then it will produce an anti-oxidant that is stronger.

Did you know that there are a lot of different kinds of honey? Here is a list of some of them; Linden, Orange Blossom, Basswood, Wildflower, Acacia, Blueberry plus a lot more. These different types of honey have different tastes and different qualities in them. Each one of the different honeys' will work in the honey mask. If you aren't sure, then you will simply just need to try them out. You might not gain anything or lose anything by just trying them.

You will need to make sure that before you try any honey mask on your face, you need to make sure your neck and face are cleaned with some water. This will remove any types of lotions, cosmetics or creams that you have put on your face prior to this. You can use a non abrasive and non aggressive soap to do that too, if you choose to not use just water.

Gently pat dry your freshly washed skin. You could even take a nice hot shower, that will help in opening up the pores, which would help in cleaning the skin as well. Having a steam bath will have the same effect. Place a towel under your neck and behind your head and lay down once you have applied your honey mask.

You will need to protect your eyes, so you could place cucumber slices on them or 2 chamomile teabags which have been steeped and are cooled down. You can also use some cotton balls that have been soaked in rose or lavender water for over your eyes.

Honey is a very natural product and will do a lot for your skin, no matter what type of skin you have.

I hope this article was of some interest to you and you learned a bit more then you already knew about honey and how a homemade face mask for acne can be made from honey.
