How would you like to get rid of cellulite, eliminate orange peel, and wave good-riddance to cellulite? You may be in for a shock as that’s the claims of the home remedy for cellulite removal I came across earlier this morning. Or so it’s claimed anyway.
Funny thing is that I wasn't even looking for it. I was researching for a client when this YouTube video popped up. Given that I’m involved in that area anyway, my curiosity was peaked, so I just HAD to look at this proclaimed remedy that’s supposed to cure cellulite.
Naturally, there’s a ton of stuff on the topic, so you've got to take these things with a pinch of salt at first, and pretty much screen everything.
“I read it on the internet, so it must be true!”
Ha, if only.
Every problem in life would be solved and we’d have nothing to moan about. Maybe that’s just us British who love to whine. Guilty of it myself at times. But at the same time, there’s a silver lining to every cloud, and for those with that orange peel syndrome, the problem is finding that silver lining.
So let me tell you what the claims are for the natural remedy that rids cellulite. I’m not vouching for it though, because I haven’t tried it. Just passing a bit of knowledge I stumbled on as it could help others.
What the video shows you to do is to:
• Take a mixing bowl and add in some sea salt
• Add a cup of water to the salt
• Then mix in a half cup of lemon juice
• The final step is to add a pinch of cyan powder into the mixture.
Once that’s done, you’ve a bowl of liquid that’s ready to apply to your skin. It’s what I decided to coin the witches brew to remove cellulite.
Just something that natural remedies seem to conjure images of with myself.
Standing over a cauldron, stirring together different ingredients in the hopes of creating the magical solution for lifes problems.
That sounds as though I’m against the prospect of natural remedies. The opposite couldn't be more true. I’m all for them, but since there’s so many know it alls jumped on the band wagon, it’s easy to see how it’s been ravished to mystical fantasy remedies that do nothing but act as a placebo.
The sad fact is that placebos don’t do anything to rid cellulite, because it’s a physical problem. Stress induced matters are different as even a placebo effect could be of benefit given the right circumstances.
That said, the reason I find this “witches brew” thing interesting, is that even if it doesn't do the trick you want it to, it’s using lemon juices with a bit of salt. That’s something that even if it does nothing else, it’s going to be at least leaving your skin feeling rejuvenated.
Good times!
You just apply the mixture to your skin, shower it off and you’re fixed for the day. Nothing expensive involved in it and you probably already have some, most or maybe even all the ingredients you need to make it.
If you give it a try, or have tried it, comment below on how it worked out for you.
Full disclosure: I didn’t. Just passing on some intel that'll hopefully help someone out.
