Many people search the internet every day looking for the perfect home remedy for warts. These skin blemishes are not very attractive, so most seek to remove the problem as soon as they have discovered it. Fortunately, there are many things already found in the home that can be used to decrease the time it takes for a wart to disappear. Though they will eventually go away on their own, wouldn’t you like to speed up the process?
The following are a handful of the home remedies you can use for wart removal. These is not the entire list of treatment methods, but a few of the more well known and effective techniques that have been used by others to eliminate warts.
Baking Soda – This ingredient has many natural cleansing properties which can help your wart stay clean and heal with no problems. Soak the affected area in baking soda and warm water for a few minutes each day. Allow the area to dry without wiping away the baking soda.
Garlic – Garlic has many anti-oxidant and anti-fungal properties, making it a great home remedy for many skin problems including warts. You can choose to use garlic internally or externally. Eating garlic supplements or adding it to your food will allow you to fight the virus causing the warts from the inside. Applying crushed garlic to the wart itself will help it shrink faster.
Vitamin C – This vitamin can help irritate the wart so that it goes away faster. To use, crush a vitamin C tablet in a small amount of water so a paste is formed from the two ingredients. Apply the mixture directly to the wart and cover with a bandage to keep the vitamin C in place.
Pineapple Juice – Pineapples have enzymes that will help dissolve the wart, causing it to be eliminated quicker than normal. Soak the area in the pineapple juice for 5 to 10 minutes each day to help speed up the healing process.
Duct Tape – This tape is among the most popular home remedies for warts, and it’s no wonder based on the effectiveness many people have had. Applying a small piece of duct tape directly to the wart each day can help to minimize the wart until it is completely gone. This remedy generally takes 2 to 3 weeks to work, but if you are consistent, the time it takes to eliminate the wart is considerably lower than if you left it to disappear on its own.
As mentioned, these are just a few of the methods that you can use as a home remedy for warts. Be consistent in your efforts, and you will see the wart disappear much sooner than normal.
