How To Get Rid Of Dark Marks On The Face - A Natural Approach

Dark marks on the skin, especially the face, can be embarrassing and lower your self esteem. Everyone wants the best possible complexion he or she can have. Men and women alike want healthy, radiant, and glowing skin.

These marks can appear for a number of reasons. It all depends on what type of marks they are and where they appear. Talking to a dermatologist can determine the type of marks you have.

No matter what may be the cause, any kind of blemish will be Melanin related. Melanin is a substance that produces pigmentation the in the skin. Pregnancy, birth control pills, or a reaction to medication can result in changes to the pigmentation of the skin. This causes a medical term known as hyperpigmentation.

Any hyperpigmentation is going to create a dark mark. The question is - what causes the hyperpigmentation? Melanocyte is a substance found in melanin. If it becomes disturbed or damaged in any way, it starts a reaction that causes an over production of melanin.

Anywhere there is an over production of melanin a dark spot will appear. Age spots, over exposure to the sun, melasma, or even acne, can cause dark marks to form on the face. The important thing to do is find out what caused these marks to appear. Once you have determined what caused them, a treatment plan can be started. Before trying over the counter treatments, try a few natural remedies, they are often just as effective.

Lemons are an effective way to lighten dark spots. They have lightening capabilities in them that work. Just apply a little on the area that needs to be lightened. Do this a few times a day to see great results.

Whip up a mixture of garlic and onion juice. This combination can be applied to the face. Leave it on for fifteen minutes for the best results. Vitamin C is an obvious natural remedy for removing dark spots on the face.

This next remedy is a sweet smelling one. Take some sandalwood oil and mix it with rosewater, apply it directly to the effected area. Sandlewood and rosewater are known as excellent skin toners. These are a just a few ideas, there are plenty more natural hyperpigmentation remedies that can have great results.

Along with these few simple, yet effective treatments options, there are a few excellent natural hyperpigmentation creams that can also remedy the situation. Whichever option you decide to try, getting rid of dark marks is often just a case of perseverance and finding out what works best for you and your skin.

There is no reason for a person to suffer the embarrassment of unsightly spots and dark marks on their face. Everyone deserves the right to have a bright and clear complexion.
