Natural Remedies for Uneven Skin Tone

Uneven skin tone can make you feel self-conscious and lower your self-esteem. Uneven skin tone can cause your skin complexion to look tired, older and unhealthy. Areas of the skin may become darker caused by pigmentation, inflammatory skin disorders or decreased blood circulation. One of the primary causes of darker skin patches is sun exposure. Ultraviolet light can cause liver spots, brown spots and lesions known as lentigo. To reduce the impact the sun has on your skin tone, always use a high factor sunscreen before you go out in the sun. While there are many expensive over the counter treatments, they can cause more damage to your skin and your overall health because of the large amount of chemicals they contain. Why not try a few natural remedies? Most of these remedies are made from ingredients you probably already have at home, or are readily available.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has many great uses as a home remedy but is especially good for uneven skin tone. Apple cider vinegar naturally contains amino acids and minerals which are beneficial to your skin and also contains sulfur which can even out skin tone. Before applying, try a small amount of skin first to check your reaction to the vinegar. Apply with a cotton ball to the darker areas and leave for 15 minutes before rinsing. Afterwards use a moisturizer so the vinegar doesn’t dry out your skin.

Turmeric

Turmeric is one of nature's most powerful healers. It has been known to combat Alzheimer's, it's also an antibacterial agent and an effective treatment for pigmentation marks and skin tone. Turmeric is able to help regenerate your skin and improve its elasticity. The spice powder you use for cooking is not potent enough to use with any great success, instead, try a good quality supplement from your local health store.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal can gently exfoliate your skin to relieve redness and inflammation caused by sun damage, stress, dry skin and allergies. Oatmeal will calm the skin with its natural silicon and minerals. Mix oatmeal with yogurt for a skin brightening face mask.

There are a variety of natural creams available to help even out skin tone and improve elasticity. Using organic products is better for you and applying daily can help reverse the effects of skin damage. Stop using chemical based products that can damage your health and use natural remedies to relieve skin irritation, redness, improve skin pigmentation and give you radiant younger looking skin.
