Reducing Wrinkles the Natural Way

I have not been around old people a lot. I grew up in a small family and lost my parents early. My only family is my brother 15,500km away. Why I am explaining this is that I never had to look after family members other than my little brother and have not seen many people getting old close to me. Wrinkles are not part of my concept of life. In my work I also mostly work with younger people and I hope that will keep me reasonably young, too! However, I am more than all right with wrinkles! I am fine with the idea of getting old, growing grey hair, becoming wiser and more comfortable with who I have become and with life in general.

Truly, growing up and becoming a mature adult is a rewarding process in my view. I had some grey hair, even in high school. As a mature woman, I always thought that men with a spattering of silver were extremely sexy! Now I look at women of similar age as me and admire those who have attractive faces and grey hair that is cut short and sporty. I think they are incredibly attractive, especially when it is presented with a toned body and high energy.

However, does not matter how we accept the process of aging, we all would like to look young and great. I will never go under knife or change my body in a way that is irreversible. But I am always on the look for assisting my body in the transformation to do as good job as possible. Be this food, drink, exercise, rest, pampering, skin or haircare.

A lot of women are concerned about the quality of their skin, how our environment effects and ages it.

Our skin is our largest organ. It protects us from infections and our environment. Many people don't realize how much harmful things our body absorbs through our skin. Just an example...Women absorb approximately 2.2kg-s harmful chemicals in form of beauty products a year alone! Add to this the household cleaning products that contain poisons and women use them on a daily bases. Most of them without rubber gloves! Scary!

My teenager students spend an obscene amount of money on beauty products and use them all the time, despite that most schools don't allow it. There is no point, although I try, to educate them that good skins starts with eating well, drinking lots of water, breathing deeply, getting adequate rest, exercising and spending enough time outdoors.

You can spend a fortune on the most expensive cosmetics but if you don't do those, you will never have a nice skin and always have to cover it and expose yourself to chemicals.

I always had reasonable skin although it became quite dry. I never drunk enough water. I also noticed how diet influenced break outs. Chocolate and cocoa were never a good idea for me although I like them! My favourite chocolate with hazelnut was the worst for me! Quickly I learnt that I pay for it with pimples! Also, around my period my skin started to break out so I knew when the time was approaching.

In Europe I had less problem with my skin when considering food and diet. The change in the condition of my skin made me think what is different in the food or the water here. I quickly came aware of the fact that the sun in Australia was much stronger and more damaging. Perhaps I should be more careful because my Mum passed away from melanoma.

My problem is that I absolutely love being outdoors. I love the sun and the water. In my first years after arriving to Australia I had some big holidays and got sun burned badly a few times because I really did not know how quickly and how badly one can burn here. I paid a big price for those holidays. I don't like to cover up. I love wearing hat as a fashion item but not as a protection against sun. I always hated sunscreens and thought that they are full of harmful chemicals that who knows how they respond to the sun when applied on the skin. So for me that is not really an option. I believe that we need to be exposed to sunlight. It makes me feel good. I also need a lot of light in general. In Hungary, during the cold and heavy winters I always craved the light and hardly could wait for spring and sunshine to come! I am the same here. When the sun is out I am outdoors as much as I can.

As a traveling conductor I had access to the best international cosmetics. My musician colleagues always recommended the best skin care. You can imagine that the singers I worked with on stage did absolutely everything to keep their skin in as excellent condition as possible. Singers wear heavy make up on stage during opera performances so they always search to restore their skin with the best possible products.

I was much luckier. As a conductor, I can't wear heavy make up although I drop little sweat when I conduct. I have a low heart rate and spare my energies really well even when I work extremely hard on stage. Simply, I am not the sweaty type. However, nothing is more awful than a female conductor whose make is smudged. My practice was to use eyeliner and lipstick plus a little perfume. That was enough for me to look and feel great. When you've got reasonably good skin, good facial features, shiny blue eyes, long eyelashes and nicely shaped lips, you just need to accentuate the positive!

In private life I do the same. Of course I tried many times to wear foundation, mascara, blush, eyeshadow, glitter, lipstick and whatever the full make up fashion was that time. The things we do for men!!! However, I hated to look in the mirror and hardly recognize myself! Than as the night went on and the make up got worn, things got worse. So with time I learned that less is more and how to look good and stay natural and still recognizable. When I did that, I felt happy all night and even when I was removing the left over of the make up.

In 2005 I got started on some nutrition products called Herbalife. I noticed a lot of positive changes including my skin, hair and nails. I was not the only one noticing these changes. However, Herbalife also produces fantastic skin and haircare. I must admit, the Herbalife Skin Activator is the best skincare I have ever used. The inner and outer nutrition that was in the Herbalife products truly changed my life for the better.

At Herbalife training I learned the importance of cleanse, tone and moisturize. I started to exfoliate and apply masks frequently. The results were astonishing! At the same time my skin started to glow due to the inner nutrition I was using. There is a time when Herbalife people get this glow if they stay long enough on the products and we notice this change on new people and even say it...you got the Herbalife glow!

Soon there was absolutely no need for any make up, just a tiny soft lipstick. My colours changed. What is more surprising that I noticed that I did not get sun burnt so easily in the sun. I definitely can state that when your body get enough vitamins, minerals, proteins and essential oils, your body responds to sun very differently. It is not years that I have not used sun screen and have not got burnt. But I get sun tan very easily! I love that.

As I stayed on Herbalife for seven years and kept reading and learning about nutrition I discovered natural products that I wanted to try. I became aware of Coconut oil and Hemp oil, Chia seed and Hemp seed, Colloidal Minerals and just recently, the Flavon Max product family as 100 natural wholefood dietary supplement. I also started to juice even more intensively although have been juicing on an off for 28 years.

I am very aware of chemicals that surround us and the state of our food. While I am not perfect and I love food and quite frequently enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of cake, I do as much as I can to eat well, juice a lot and take my Flavon supplements.

In a previous article I mentioned that I started to use Hemp Oil on my back and feet and I absolutely love it.

However, almost at the same time with that, I started to use Hemp Oil once or twice a day on my face, neck and decolletage. It is probably a month now but the result is pretty amazing. Let me tell you, my dry skin is the thing of the past. My skin is nice and soft to touch and I like that!

A few months ago I noticed that I have more wrinkles and deep lines around my eyes and lips. That worried me...I have the type of face that has two deep lines running from the side of the nose to the lips. I liked that and I had that since I can remember. I had some professional shots done for concert brochures here in Australia a few years ago. I got pretty upset when the photographer wanted to airbrush those lines! No way! That is part of me and I like those lines!

What is rather interesting that using the Hemp Oil, those lines are almost disappearing! I had some photos taken recently I was quite taken aback how my skin looked and how things are changing again due to Flavon Max, juicing and using Hemp Oil! Just a tip for people with dry skin. Hemp Oil and Avocado mask with a little lemon juice is so good for the skin! Try it when you have some time to relax while applying this mask! Enjoying life over fifty or whatever age you are and being happy with yourself is a good place to be!

What I have noticed so far using Hemp Oil daily is this. I had some dark sunmarks on my neck close to my ears that just did not want to disappear whatever I did, after a week those areas gained back their normal skin colour. The fine skin on my neck and my decolletage looks really nice and the deep lines are disappearing gradually. The skin on my face has never been so soft as since using Hemp Oil. I had some stitch marks on my forehead that are reducing nicely. Uneven skin colour is now much more even. Deep lines around the eyes and lips are significatntly reducing. The photos and videos that were taken recently show quite obvious positive chnages.

I share with you other little secrets about good skin. Vitamin C! Not pills or Ascorbic acid. It has to be in a full form like juicing or eating citrus fruits or other planst and fruits that are rich in Vitamin C. It helps with collagen. I will explain this in another article when I write about Vitamin C. The other little secret is that when I finish a bottle of my Flavon fruit or vegetable supplement gel, I keep the jar. When I have time, I wet my finger and clean the jar with my wet finger and use the gel on my face as a mask! If it is good for our inside, it is great for our skin! My skin especially loves Flavon Green, which is the vegetable supplement I eat!

Sometimes I think and laugh how far I have come and how much I learned about myself and about what I put in my mouth and apply on my skin. However, it is a journey!

Somebody told me once...if you would not eat it, don't put it on your skin! With this thought I wish you happy pampering!

Yes Anna! I started with Coconut Oil and loved it! However, I seem to get better result with Hemp Oil! Maybe my skin type? Not sure but love whatI feel and what I see in the mirror! :)
